This is a pretty great one also.

Sorry, Soul Asylum wasn't a one hit wonder, they were just unfortunate enough to exist in the Era of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. Often Overlooked, "Let your Dim Lights Shine," the follow up Album to "Grave Dancers Union" (On which "Runaway Train" was released) actually charted HIGHER in the US lol.

Also.... True Story here, It was the 1st CD I ever bought lol. It's a great Start-to-Finish Album, if you can handle mid-90s grunge-alternative. Check it out lol

@Troy Cameo def isn't a one hit wonder as they had many hits Candy being just as legendary as Word Up.

I had a listen to it and I have never heard it before in Australia. Saw that it went to #21 in the US but didn't make it over here for whatever reason. Word Up is the only song I had ever heard from them and it still gets played here frequently.

Some other great songs listed. Mambo Number 5 was huge here in Australia, stayed in the charts for months and months and it was actually a pretty good song. Bitter Sweet Symphony is one of the best songs of the 90's period. Brilliant song and it is such a pity that they had to give back all profits from the song because of the violin part. So happy that someone else listened to Eddie Murphy's Party All the Time. The clip is hilarious with Rick James off his rocker and then suddenly deciding that he needs to join in and play guitar.

Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life
Another one of my favourite songs of the 90's. It was one of those songs that I loved the sound of yet didn't pay that much attention to the lyrics as a kid so I never realised what it was actually about until later.

Third Eye Blind is a pretty good band but they had a couple other popular songs. Jumper being probably more popular than this one.

I think it is another case of country borders. In Australia the only song of theirs to make it was Semi Charmed Life and it was huge, we never really heard much else from them.

I remember Kung Fu Fighting being played at so many parties in the 90's and even in the early 00's. Everyone would make the sound effects and start karate chopping during the chorus was cringe worthy but everyone would do it.

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
This is something that sounded so completely different to everything else at the time and I don't think I have heard anything similar since. They only did two albums together and this was their only hit but it is a brilliant song, would easily have it on my list of top songs of the 00's. They still have time to have another hit but for now they are a one hit wonder.

Then you should check out The Heavy.

Which leads me to another OHW. That actually influenced The Heavy. Screamin Jay Hawkins.

And the comedian Rich Hall still periodies it to this day!

Troy "Jumper" was definitely Third Eye Blind's more popular song here, I'd never actually hear "Semi-Charmed Life" until now.

I dunno man, At the time "Semi Charmed Life" was a MUCH bigger hit for the guys, but For whatever reason (maybe the subject matter), Jumper has withstood the test of time and is still in rotation on the alternative stations out here in DFW, Texas. I guess Jim Carrey singing your song in a movie makes it a star? IDK.

You gotta throw "How's it Gonna Be" and "Graduate" into the conversation of biggest Third Eye Blind hits..... although they have numerous good songs from at least 5 or 6 decent albums, I've seen them twice now in concert as my 2 best friends from college are both very big fans and I'm just a fan of live music and drinking..

While How's it gonna be is my favorite 3EB song, it and graduate isn't even close to the level of success and staying power from the other two mentioned. It's a shame too, as personally, I like the two you mentioned much better than the other two.
