Have to say mine would be New York right now. I have a friend who lives there as her parents moved eight years ago and she settled out there. I have now been four times and have loved it each time.

For me it is such a broad city, with so much great culture and beautiful landmarks, it has the perfect mix of small urban areas and then the bigger parts. Also the people
are so friendly and colourful, us brits could really learn a lot. If I was not planning on going to UNI in Brighton then it is the sort of city I could see myself moving too, if I had enough money that
is.

Was also impressed with Berlin when I went there last year for the Film Festival, it has so much history and no one part of the city looks the same. It is a great, modern city, and the food
and drink is cheap also, which is always a plus!

I've never really been international and most of the Australian cities I've been to I wouldn't call amazing or a favourite holiday destination. I liked the Gold Coast though as it had good weather, good beaches, shops, fun theme parks and what not. I was not a fan of Sydney or Adelaide. Perth was decent and Melbourne is a pretty good city but I live here.

I really want to visit the USA though. Mostly LA and NY.

I love Italy.

Best place I ever went though was Ibiza, I know thats such a boring, cliche answer but I had the time of my life there.

Amsterdam was awesome, but believe it or not my favourite holiday destination is still the small Portuguese coastal village where I spent twenty-plus summers of my life. It's a sleepy town, there's very few locals, but the incoming cityfolk are mostly posh (most own houses there and have been going for years, the rest are tourists and campers who stay at the camping sites). Chavvy/trashy day-trippers stick out like a sore thumb, and generally keep to certain areas of the beach, out of the local crowd's way (it may sound elitist, but it naturally happens that way, for some reason). The town itself has got woods AND a beach, very quiet atmosphere, overall it's just a great little town.

I still have some dream trips to make though, and in that respect I need to visit New Zealand/Australia, Sweden, New York, and Cape Verde before I die. Have been to London and Amsterdam. Would also like to tour the French and Italian countryside, especially North Italy/South France. Despite being a city boy through and through, I much prefer quiet, quaint countryside holidays to the touristy or beach-and-party-resort-y type.

I was just in Punta Cana Dominican for a vacation, my very first one. Loved it so much, the place I stayed was beautiful. I'd definitely go again!

Amsterdam is my list to visit this year, been planning on going there for awhile now.

YES. GO THERE.

Look for the DVD shop in the city centre near Madam Tussaud's - it's brilliant!

Make sure not to miss the Amsterdam History Museum - literally the best museum I've ever seen! Ever.

I didn't go to Madam T's, but I bought three movies I couldn't find anywhere else for next to nothing :)

But will the DVD's play in the UK? You also have the Anne Frank Museum there, that would be good to see. You guys are just getting me excited talking about it!

I'd assume so.
