My faves:
1. Hollywood Hulk Hogan: I'm gonna give Hogan all the credit in the world. He was reluctant when he was asked by Bischoff to be the third man. But he did it and ended up reinvigorated not only his career, but WCW in general, giving WWF/E a serious run for its money.
2, Rock joins the Corporation: Check my avatar.
3. Rock from Hollywood in 2003 and turns on the fans / HBK turns on Hogan in 2005: Both are tied for no 3, because they were so short. Still, they were both gold.
Worst:
1. Vince McMahon turns on the Rock: Wrestlemania XVI / 2000: Talk about completely random and devoid of common sense. I mean, Triple H had attacked the McMahon family backstage numerous times, married Stephanie against her will, turned Steph against her own father, etc...Yet, Rock was still betrayed by Vince. The RAW after WM, Vince refused to give an explanation to the fan. He finally gave one the next RAW: Basically the Rock failed to thank Vince....Yeah...That doesn't scream of lousy writing at all.
I think Rock was supposed to win the title at WM16. But shortly before the big event, Vince was desperate for ideas of programs for the spring. He then settled another "Most popular star vs Vince" program after WM16, even at the expense of common sense. HHH won that night. (When Vince joined the McMahon-Helmsley faction,Trips really lost his credibility as a heel if you ask me.) It pissed off numerous fans watching WM. All of it was done to increase the sales of Backlash 2000.
2. Vince McMahon is the Greater Power: Makes no sense if you consider the hell Ministry put the McMahon family through. And for what? To screw Steve Austin? Why didn't Taker go for Austin before WMXV then? I know this was to show just how sick a human being Vince was. But come on. Nobody acts that way. NOBODY.
This would my numero uno had not been of Stone Cold becoming CEO, which nearly salvaged the whole thing.
3. Rikishi "did it for da Rock" It makes no sense in the grand scheme of things of things. (Rikishi hadn't debuted when this happened). And he did it because the WWE was all about the "Great White Hopes?". First of all, in late 1999 Rock's popularity reached that of Austin's. He wasn't held back by racism. Second of all, Ron Simmons / Farooq and Booker T both became World Champions, and never needed the great white hopes out of the way to do it.
What's worse: His feud with Austin was doing so bad with audiences that they to introduce HHH as the man who actually did it. When this happened, Rikishi became totally irrelevant . Sure, he had a pretty cool bump at Armageddon 2000. But that's about it. It's a miracle his career survived and was eventually introduced into the HOF (him running over Austin was thankfully ignored)
