So by being better than a complete shit fest of a PPV it means it is anything worthwhile? I could wrestle FTJ in his backyard and it would be better than the past 3 Manias

No, but the main thing that made Wrestlemania 29 dreadful is that they half-assed the buildup because they figured they could coast on the hype of the Rock/Cena rematch (and the presence of Brock Lesnar) to sell the show. But the fact that WM29 didn't break the buy rate record like they expected it to combined with the fact that they don't have The Rock at their disposal this year (and Batista is no Rock) means that they'll have to put more effort into the build up this year.

Build is fine, but none of the rumored matches really seem worth a damn outside of whatever Brock is doing.

Just out of curiosity, what would be your preferred Wrestlemania card this year? And I mean in terms of plausibility (no Lesnar/Ceasro match ups, please.)

Out of all the possible matches that could happen, Batista/Orton is really the only one I would hate to see. Punk/HHH, Bryan/HHH, Cena/Wyatt, Lesnar/Taker, Lesnar/Batista, Bryan/Undertaker etc. all have something about them that would intrigue me. Plus, Hogan is pretty much guaranteed not to wrestle at this point (at least if recent reports of him failing his medical test are true), so there's that as well.

Lesnar vs Cena for the strap or Taker vs Lesnar
Bryan over HHH
Wyatt vs Taker or Wyatt fam vs Taker/kane
Punk/Orton tag teaming unemployment

It makes perfect snese Daniel Bryan will probably win the title in his hometown at Extreme Rules and not Wrestlemania 30. CM Punk will get a good send off at Payback in his hometown then he quits

wait wasin Payback PPV in CM Punk's hometown last year why is same PPV in hometown again? Why are that not swiching it up?

At this point it's difficult to create a good, plausible card because of some shitty events in the last few months. Before, then I would have gone with:

Hunter (C) v Bryan - Obvious. Bryan brings down the authority and wins the title for his deserved WM moment.
John Cena v Undertaker - yep, no explanation needed. Can't wait for this match, probably happening at WM32 in Texas, where Taker's from and lives.
CM Punk v Lesnar II - People loved this feud & match. No one would complain at doing it again. At WM29, Cena/Rock & Brock/HHH were rematches.
Shield v Wyatts - Tornado tag match, losing group must split up.

Fuck batista/orton etc, that's an insane mania IMO.

wait wasin Paidback

lmao

I'm surprised they're going with Punk/HHH over Bryan/HHH. Don't get me wrong, Punk/HHH will definitely have the better buildup (at least if Punk becomes a bit more 'edgy' and reverts back to being as quick-witted on the mic as he was in 2011), but I would think Triple H would jump at the first chance to pair himself up with the hottest act in the company for Wrestlemania. Plus, Bryan defeating HHH would be "bringing the machine down" as he talked about in his tweets. Bryan becoming world champion in the process would also bring the whole Authority angle full-circle since it all started with them screwing over Bryan in the first place. And Bryan has more to get out of defeating HHH than Punk does. If Punk is taking time off only a few months after Wrestlemania, then why waste the rare opportunity of Triple H putting someone over on him?

Another interesting idea: Triple H actually beats CM Punk (not cleanly ofc), allowing him to take time off, and the authority angle continues. Then at SummerSlam, a full year later, Bryan defeats Hunter. Bryan should never have been put in the position in the first place, but logically he should be the one to finish it imo.

I have thought of the possibility of Bryan winning the WWE Title at Summerslam if he doesn't win it at Wrestlemania as that would still have a full circle feeling to it. But I don't like The Authority angle dragging out for that long and Triple H shouldn't win at Mania no matter who he faces imo. We're definitely bound to get Bryan/HHH at some point, though. Even if it has to take place much later when the Authority shit is already long in the past.
