I really don't understand the hate on the squad?

Hodgson has built his team with what he's got, whilst thinking about the future in the likes of Ox and Welbeck. It's a decent squad, we as fans should just lower our expectations because France and Sweden are both tough.

On a different note, I think the most underrated player in the squad is Mr. Baines, in my mind he starts ahead of Ashley Cole.

This.

Whilst I do think it's a decent squad, there's just some things I don't get.... I mean both Crouch and Defoe were decent goal scorers for England, and Defoe always showed up in Internationals, so why were neither of them included? Or why not Sturridge, a guy who's impressed more than Carroll has this season. Also, I doubt it will matter, but who the hell is Jack Butland? Why not just include Green or Robinson? Also if Henderson gets in I may lose all hope...

Well Green is in the squad I think he would be number two to Hart. Robinson along with Forster have retired from international football other wise either would be good selctions. I don't mind the call up of someone like Butland, lets face it he is unlikely to be called unpon being third choice and just being there will be a good experience for him so it is win/win.

Overall I don't mind the squad, it is a good mix of younger players and the more experience ones who most should have one more good tourument in them. I have one or two issues with selections like Caroll over Crouch and Downing in there. Thing is it is almost certain we can't win the Euros so up to a point it is a good idea to experiement for the future.

OF COURSE WE'RE GONNA WIN THE EUROS... DON'T TALK NONSENSE!

Naw, seriously, our squad isn't too bad, it's much more experimental than past years and there is a lot of names were so familiar too missing, it's a nice change and to be honest, Andy Carroll will possibly be a great hit or a huge miss but nothing is for certain till we see him in actual competition. Naturally Hart is the clear cut number one goalkeeper and being a goalkeeper myself, I'd rather have Hart over the other two, far less consistant and Hart just won the Preimership and pulled off some cracking saves in the season, so it's safe hands.

Also, Forster has already retired from International Football, isn't he only like 26? Anyways, I think for the overall tournament, the Germans will probably win it, I can see them beating Spain, they got the best squad to do it.

Jordan Henderson shouldn't even be near the U21 squad, what the fuck is this.

Defoe and Green are both in the squad...

As for Jack Butland, he's a promising keeper that will just be back up as number 3 for now. It's like when people were saying 'Who the hell is Joe Hart?' when we took him to the world cup in 2010.

Jordan Henderson shouldn't even be near the U21 squad, what the fuck is this.

As for this, Henderson has been captaining the Under 21s, I really think everyone is hating on him too much. He did fine at Sunderland, I just think he jumped ship to Liverpool to quickly and just hasn't fitted in.

We stand a small chance gentlemen, ooosh.

Fair play I mis read some of the squad, but Crouch shoulda gone ahead of Caroll. As for Lampard's injury, it's a shame Carrick said he'd retired or something, he'd of been the best replacement.

I'm not sure about Big Pete, think he's past his time now...I would have liked to see Strurridge go instead of Carroll, but this is a big chance for Andy to show everyone what he can do, seeing as Wazza is out for the first 2/3 games.

Gotta go with Prod here, Crouch is a proven goalscorer at international level and has had a great season, I would have liked to see Sturridge as well though instead of Welbeck.

Lampard is definitely out of Euro 2012 the FA has confirmed. And Jordan Henderson will be replacing him, subject to agreement from UEFA's medical team

Massive shame for Lampard, depending on how things go in the next 2 years this could have been his final major tournament. Now don't you all go hating on Henderson, he'll only play if needed - remember we have Gerrard, Parker, Milner, etc. - All of whom will start ahead of him.
