We heard from a few sources that Eric Bischoff is not backstage at tonight's Impact taping. Two sources told me that he is not expected to be back with the company any time soon. It's fair to say that a number of people are happy with that development.

The exact reason for his absence has not been relayed at this time.

One of Bischoff's duties is to oversee the creative end of the company so it will be interesting to see how the shows are booked tonight without his input. Bischoff had "stepped up" his role in recent months with the creative direction of the company and many would say that the product has taken a turn for the worse from a storyline standpoint in that time.

No big loss

Sheeeeeet if Jarrett is back in power, wouldn't put it past TNA to bring back Russo. Jarrett loves Russo for making him a "star" by beating up women in WWF and beating up women in WCW while being the champ.

Will watch for Jarrett guitar shot to Dixie.

During the afternoon meeting, the TNA talent roster was told that going forward Eric Bischoff would be working with the company "from home". There were quite a few that thought the terminology was a euphemism for Bischoff's departure, but there's no official word if he's actually been removed from power or not.

Bischoff was not in attendance at TNA Bound for Glory.

If he is the one behind the Dixie vs AJ storyline than by all means get rid of him. I haven't really seen any kind of storyline or anything creative related that makes it worthwhile to watch TNA.

Don't think Bischoff does any angle stuff, probably Lagana doing that. And HEEL Dixie is the best thing TNA's ever done.

I can't blame creative for A.J. being awful during segments, he's always been that way. That is the only thing I can really say that is terrible about the AJ/Dixie stuff. Dixie is obnoxious as hell but has enough charisma too pull this off adequately.

As far as Eric is concerned, I doubt he has much say in what is goin' on right now, TNA is just so stupid they'll pay him just to say he's on their roster.

Dude, the Claire Lynch/AJ Styles/Daniels triangle was pure comedy and storyline gold. That alone made TNA watchable.

I'm surprised it took them this long to flip Dixie heel as an onscreen character. She gets so much heat it's crazy, people were already turning on her. Made sense.

By the sounds of it he is pretty much gone, they just want to ease him out rather than make a big deal out of it. It was always unclear to me how much creative control he had but I don't see much that he has haded to TNA anyway.

trolljob obvs troll

Anyone who ever seen the Claire Lynch angle hated it.

And I don't think Bischoff wasn't doing much creatively from what I've heard, then again, Bischoff wasn't much of a booker, he was a producer and go between for TNA and Spike.
