Ecw to be dropped and re-branded?

I don't think they should drop the show altogether like mentioned in this thread I do think a name change is necessary. No sense in soiling the ECW name even more, it's like spitting in Heyman's face every time it's on.

Just make ECW a televised FCW, pretty much what it is now. Let the young talent get some TV and big crowd experience before moving them to the big shows. Also give veterans coming near the end have one last run on TV.

Does Vince really need to beat off his ego anymore? Was ECW truly real competition at any time? No, it was a good idea to bring ECW if it was run by Heyman or at least directed in the previous formula.

I understand what you guys are saying but I personally think it's dumb for Vince to keep exploiting it. 'ECW' would probably draw more with a name change anyway, actually I guarantee if ECW changes it's name and has the same time slot along with roster they will get more ratings than the average weekly ratings.

Thank god. ECW does not fit what that brand is at all. It all sounds and seems to Blue to have that name since there's no god damn "Extreme" wrestling even on it.

I can see it though as WWE hardly refers to their talent as wrestlers, and ECW does have WRESTLING in it, but so does WWE, so whatever.

WWE has been in talks with the SyFy network about the future of the ECW brand. WWE is planning a major re-branding and word is that WWE will still keep the 10pm time slot and may introduce a new TV show similar to WWE Superstars on WGN America.

I was hoping this meant ECW was going bye bye, meaning the actual show was leaving the air waves. I've hated the brand ever since it's debut, WWE DOES NOT have the roster to maintain 3 fuckin brands. Its rediculous, RAW and Smackdown! have to waste 15+ minutes on video packages to fill a two hour time slot because the roster is stretched soooo thin

All the young stars coming from FCW are doomed to buried in the main roster. ECW > RAW + SD IMO for it actually being a wrestling show

I dont want guys like Benjamin, Regal, and CC to be buried in SD or RAW's mid card which is what their doomed for except for maybe CC he'll be ok. Remeber what Shelton was doing on SD before coming back to ECW. Jobbing to MVP and JoMo
