LOL of course it's a PR move. A perfectly fucking justified PR move. The backlash Sterling is getting now is nothing compared to what the NBA would be getting if they did nothing this time around. The only type of real punishment they gave him was a 2 million dollar fine, which is nothing to him. Besides that, they're just cutting ties with him. The NBA doesn't even have the power to do anything severe to him and there's no legal ground for anyone to prosecute him. He got off easy so I'm not seeing how he was wronged. Private convo or not, if you're the type of backwoods shit that he is, it's generally never a good idea to pass out ammo to people who obviously only associate with you because of money. Can't even blame it on Alzheimer's, that's just abysmal common sense.
