Dolph Ziggler debuted his new bodyguard at this weekend's RAW live events - Mason Ryan.

Ziggler cut a promo at Sunday's RAW live event in Chattanooga and declared himself the future of WWE. Ziggler said in order to be the future, he needs someone to watch his back. Ziggler introduced Ryan and said from now on, Ryan will watch his back as he goes to the top of WWE.

Ziggler went on to lose to John Cena, who was still selling his arm injury from Brock Lesnar. Ryan ended up getting involved in the match.
They need to bring this angle to TV tonight, starting with Dolph berating Vickie and splitting from her.

Swagger face turn?

I'd be hoping so.

So we want to see Dolph without Vickie but WWE gives him Ryan right ahead.

Because being with Vickie hasn't done anything for him in a long ass time, whereas giving him Ryan opens up the potential of a push with his backup alongside him.

Can't see any reason why this would be a bad thing. It gives Ziggler something fresh and at least a small push forward, will probably result in him moving on from Vickie, and gives Mason Ryan exactly the kind of role he should have.

My only issue with this is how akward it is, even in kayfabe, that they were fueding not so long ago (if I can get away with calling it a "fued").

I kind of like Mason, so this doesn't bother me at all. I like this idea to be honest. Vickie just isn't good for Ziggler anymore. But what will happen with Swagger?

Should of been Ryback.

Keeping Brotista out the ring is a major positive though.

I like this move. I've thought for a while now that Swagger is holding Ziggler back (purely because Swagger gets booked like shit) and now Mason Ryan is given a role that suits him well. As long as he doesn't wrestle often, I'll be happy. If it means Ziggler is given a push, I'll be even happier.

Thing that worries me about this is usually when they do this it is to ultimately put over the bodyguard than rather than the guy who he is being the bodyguard for. Would be terrible to see them use Dolph to try and get Mason over.

Zeke looks more imposing tbh if I were giving him a body guard

Funny you mentioned Zeke, I read something up last night where he is trying to get people behind him because he wants change. He feels he has been on a downward spiral since his IC loss and is trying to regain himself.

Zeke would have been better, it boosted Brian Kendrick for that short time.

I think that more alludes to him signing with Abe than going backwards and being a bodyguard for somebody as far as Zeke goes.

Zeke almost got into a fight with someone in January in the locker room because he was acting like a prick because he heard he was getting re pushed. He's in dog house and I can't say I'm mad about that.

I fret over having Zeke go back to the bodyguard role because it just seems like such a step backwards, even if he suits it.
