So the victim needs to keep his mouth shut? What weird logic is this?

It's cool now after seeing Raw where they basically referenced it and didn't hide it, because we know there's no awkwardness there and backstage they must be less sensitive about it than we thought. The statement just read like Jerry was kinda throwing Dolph under under the bus.

If you jump in front of a bullet does that make you the victim? If you jump from a height you know could kill you, are you a victim? Lawler chose to step into the ring. That was his choice. He's not a victim. If your choice causes you harm then you are not a victim. You made a stupid decision and that's what Lawler did.

Jesus, why does it have to be only Dolph's or only King's fault. Yes, King's old but so many other people in much worse shape wrestle at an older age than he does, it was a freak thing that no one saw coming.

So by your logic Owen Hart wasn't a victim? Droz wasn't a victim? Those guys made choices and it cost them.

I think 2 things about this issue:

1) It's not as black and white as people think. You can't blame either guy. Are 10 straight elbows to the chest going to help? No. But to say it's all Dolph's fault is ridiculous. Jerry is up there in age and I'm sure he doesn't have the best diet. But you've got to take into account that freak things happen.

2) Why is this such a big deal? The announcers made jokes about it on Raw and Dolph even pointed right at King when he was doing the elbows. I think we're making a mountain out of a molehill

Freak unfortunate incident, I see no reason for his to assign public blame to Ziggler though.

Lawler ran an angle on an indy show he wrestled last weekend revolving around his heart attack. He was wrestling Striker and throughout the match Striker kept going for the Heart Punch. It is clear that Lawler doesn't care and is happy to joke about it and of course make money out of it. I just took issue with him mentioning Ziggler as a potential cause of it.

Super Porky in Mexico has been milking the heart attack angle since the early 90s. Probably got the heart punch gimmick from JBL, since he did it to Porky back when he was still John Hawk.

Since when are we supposed to act shocked at old school workers using legit situations to get heat?

King didn't blame him. He said Dolph's elbows COULD have caused it. And you can't put it on Dolph. Remember, King went right back to ringside and started trying to commentate following the match... if he doesn't have that heart attack, nobody says a single fucking thing about Dolph's elbows & if they do, it's Jerry praising the kid to the big goons in the back to tell 'em Dolph deserves a push.

You can't have it both ways, on the one hand you expect us quite rightly to feel sorry for Lawler and what happened to him, and we do, but now you also want us to accept him using it to draw cheap heat or whatever odd reason he had for speaking out. Its one or the other.

No it's not.

Also have to remember that this was the same guy who used his mothers death to get Michael Cole heat.
