I agree with your point, but the thing is its just dangerous to do 10 in a row to a heart area. He doesn't normally do thatm he wanted to show off and thought king could take it being old school. I mean that to me is why its an all around blame, him doing that stupidly and King getting in there at his age, despite how much better he looks than Flair, Dusty, etc because he took care of his body being straight edge long before Punk

I agree with not letting him in there again, but I still give him that exception only if it's a tribute match

He does it literally every match. The crowd even counts to 10 since he turned face.

Let me rephrase it, he wasnt big on doing 10 at the time, youre correct he adopted it. And right now he really hasn't in a while since he's just a crash test dummy in his matches who just bumps and is going nowhere. I don't know what happened to his card spot plummeting recently, it could be this with King, his mouth about Trips, etc.

There was no need for King to come out and say this in public, bit of a dick move in my book. Sure mention it to Ziggler in private, if at all, but to say publically that Ziggler was partially to blame for his heart attack isn't the right move at all.

As for him wanting to wrestle on RAW again, Vince's lawyers will make sure that doesn't happen. Way too risky and Lawler should just be grateful that the doctors that WWE have at all events managed to save his life. Crazy for wanting to wrestle again.

Troy sums up my thoughts nicely. Also I suspect that if this was a full time main event guy then the King would not have spoken out against him.

King's old school and maybe that part of the interview was a total work. I take a lot of what these guys say to those outside the industry (ie all "marks" to them) with a grain of salt. Nice joke they ran on commentary when Dolph when to the elbow drops.

Dolph eased up the elbow drops, obviously he has seen the error of his ways.

LOL @ people blaming the victim.

Because of his comments, not because of what happened to him, there is a difference.

Nothing wrong with his comments if they are true, it is what it is, the truth. A persons heart can give/stop on them be they 72 or 12 if you hit them hard enough in it

Didn't you find the timing strange though? Why not say it closer to the time. Also like Troy said if he had a problem with Ziggler he should have handled it privately. It does smack a little bit of trying to grab a few headlines or putting Dolph down.

Why broadcast this in public? There is no need to put the blame on Ziggler publically even if the elbows played a role in the heart attack. We didn't need to know this and it is terrible to put the blame on Ziggler when he was just doing what he always does in matches. Lawler should have realised that at his age it wasn't the best move to be wrestling again against the younger guys.

I don't even really agree with this point either. Lawler's younger than some people that WWE has made take some bumps (Mae Young lol) and he's been consistently wrestling still for the past few years actually so no one expected anything to happen to him. Just a freak thing that no one saw coming or caused.

But Lawler hasn't just been used for bumps, he has been used for full length matches, plus he should have simply said that it was a freak thing that no one could have predicted. I still can't understand why he went out and said that Ziggler was partially to blame for this. It was a freak thing and his age and health wouldn't have helped the issue.

Seriously this talkin' about Dolph not doing his 10 elbows is like tellin' me Vader shouldn't pound on people like he does. And one of the most entertaining and legit things about wrestling is how folks like Vader approached matches. Dolph should start doing 20 elbows to spite these people.

Also, I've noticed on TV them mentioning it, it's more like a joke than anything. Dolph even points at Jerry after he does the elbows now like it's some sort of tribute.

Honestly can't tell you one way or the other. He could've tried talking it over in private and been blown off, we will never know. Heck we will never even know fully whenhe was told that could be the cause, as it could have been at a check up months after as im sure a guy coming off heart surgery doesnt have full recollection at first contact with a doctor. Then again I honestly can't picture being in Kongs shoes, and almost dying, after working countless full length matches over the years and not being a guy who abuses his body with drugs and alcohol; there's no telling how I would honestly react, feel, or vent if I was almost killed and someone said yeah this guys an be partially blamed.

It was a terrible situation and honestly, maybe he felt like he just needed to vent. Then again maybe he put Rolph out there in public as an example in general to tell young guys be more careful. Only Jerry can ever know what he felt when he said it.

I don't support the he's just old talk because quite frankly King was in better shape than a good portion of the roster just based off the fact he hasn't had a lot of surgeries and he doesn't do drugs or drink because of his father growing up. I mean before it happened he honestly had a better chance of putting on 20mins than a guy like Tensai without blowing up and huffing for example
