I'd rather watch 2002-2006 SmackDown, very comfy. You've got the SmackDown six, you've got Batista drinking Simon System, JBL working Mexicans into a shoot, just a good time to watch.
Ruthless Aggression was my favorite but I was a Raw guy tbh. Just fast forward Triple H lol

Well early on Triple H was alright I guess, his feud with Shawn was kino. Still remember Shawn's dookie colored pants.

So you can watch Rob Conway jerk off? Only redeeming part of mid 2000s Raw was Christians IC run.
Odd you point that out, because I don't remember that lol. I meant Shawn Michaels' comeback, Randy Orton and Batista leave Evolution. Edge's main event push(even though I hated Edge as a kid) Lita vs Trish Stratus and Shelton Benjamin vs Shawn Micheals

Batista leaving Evolution was fantastic but Orton's title run was complete dogshit. Only time I wish a murderer went over.

I was a smackdown kid in the 2000s. Wasn't too high on raw.

I also couldn't watch the ppv back then either. Too expensive and i was too young so my mom didn't want to fork out the money. I don't blame her though lol.

Smackdown 2002-05 (when I stopped watching) was awesome. So much star power.

But Benoit wasn't a murderer back then. He was my hero until that night in 2007

Yeah man that's a touchy subject for most.

Professionally he was one of my favourite. I thought he was awesome.

Then that happened and it practically wiped it all away. But then you realize how much brain damage he had and personal aspect of his life and it just makes it so conflicting.

I still admire the character I loved as a kid. But feel differently about him as a person.

I have a friend who marathoned all the available Raws and I've started to do the same with Smackdown, but I haven't gotten too far

I always wish people could put this into perspective but not a lot of people do. Benoit's brain, as you mentioned, was extremely damaged. It was the equivalent of an 80 year old Alzheimer's patient when he was autopsied. But so many people view him as an evil murder. Verne Gagne WAS an 83 year old Alzheimer's patient who killed another patient by doing wrestling moves on him. Both Verne's and Benoit's brains were in similar shape, but people give Verne a pass and they condemn Benoit.

So many people see the world in black and white, without looking at all of the details hiding in the gray. Often, so many answers are hiding there.

I quit watching wrestling in 1998 and started again in 2003 so I missed the majority of the Attitude Era... I binge watched the Raws when the Network first came out but not the Smackdowns yet. It's hard at that point because the story lines go through both shows and it is annoying to go back and forth.

Yeah, part of me wants to skip to the brand split, but I haven't decided on it for certain

Verne was 83 years old, was not his kids and he did not ring the office after doing the deed.

Benoit's demons were mostly self inflicted. I did not see his WWF run at the time, watching 2000 AE atm up to May/June. I remember him from WCW though.

Don't take this off topic by talking about Benoit. There have been a few posts and I was guilty of one of them. However from here on everyone, including me, keep this about watching the AE on the Network.

Yeah I've jumped around a bit with both brands. I'll do a bunch from say 98 raw, remember something from 2003 smackdown and get on that kick for a bit, then back to raw in like 97.. Then smackdown in 2002 lol. Then back to watching in chronological order raw 98.

I also love watching the "Monday Night Wars" episodes I think that series is cool too. Highlighting the different AE aapects.
