As many of you know, I am a huge Baron Corbin mark. That said as of late I feel like he's floundering a little bit. I do enjoy him and JBL but, I feel as though he has a ceiling for that as of the moment. My idea though could give us a bit of a refresh for Baron. So the idea is this.

Baron Corbin continues on his losing ways, losing matches, losing card guys, losing JBL money. JBL grows more frustrated with Corbin week after week saying I saw you as the next wrestling God and that he's just made a mockery of him and JBL makes some sort of reference of how he's going to cut his losses etc. JBL finally decides to cut his ties with Corbin. He comes out the next week it looks like Corbin has gotten the monkey off his back. He looks like he's going to win a match JBL comes out and cost him. JBL could manage someone (ex. Grimes, Von Wagner, whomever) and they attack Corbin. The next week Corbin comes into JBL poker game steals come cash and burns it he takes his old happy Corbin gear hat whatever and burns it and says something to reference a return of the lone wolf. The next week he comes out hits a end of days on JBL I bring the darkness plays (I think the crowds like the theme and it would help him get over as a babyface.) Corbin returns to being the lone wold but he could then feud with some bigger monster heels and refresh the character a little.

(In before someone says Vince would love this or please God no comments :MJ2: )

I just curious if you think Baron could be a decent babyface midcard act or whatnot.

The way to get Corbin over is just to get him off tv for a while. Have him then come back as the previous "lone wolf" persona. That would be the one way that it could happen. They had the opportunity to do so after the poor Corbin storyline when KO was kicking his ass all the time, but they didn't do it. So either WWE doesn't think so or they just don't want Corbin to be anything but a mid, campy, heel. I really don't think with your events people would do anything but boo him. The one way to get people to forget to either boo or cheer for someone is time. Either away or just in a banging storyline.

Corbin has go away heat most of the time. The closest he really came was when he was down on his luck poor Corbin.

I think other than that this is his best overall role he has had.

I think he's a fine midcard heel, I just think it would freshen the persona. I think any chance of me seeing a main event push is gone especially under hhh regime which I get it :punklol . I Do think Corbin/Kross big man feud could be fun

Broke Ass Corbin was a fun character and could lead to a face run.

Probably not, he almost feels irreparable at this point. Guy is pretty good but it feels like everything he's gotten involved in outside the 'Bum Ass Corbin' stuff is one of the lowlights of the entire show.

No he needs to be a badass biker again. Basing his gimmick around money was a horrible decision. He doesn’t fit that role at all. I’ve never seen the big deal about him and wouldn’t care if he was gone tbh but if he has to stay then yeah he should be a badass biker

Outside of how he is behind the scenes, he's got an incredibly unlikable on-screen presence, the way he talks, how he carries himself, and how he wrestles would make it fairly impractical to turn him into a baby face. He's just a natural lifetime heel, and that's how he should stay.

Pretty sure he flexes / used to flex on Insta, cars/watches/cigars? I think, so it's not that 'out there'

Corbin is such an unlikable character that I do not think he'd be able to get over as a babyface. It would take a long time of breaking him down to get enough sympathy for him.

If they did Broke Ass Corbin again and kept it going for like 6 months MAYBE they'd be able to get him enough sympathy to garner a face run, but it's doubtful.

THAT BEING SAID, I think they could do tease a face turn over a few weeks before re-cementing him as a heel.

He’s such an unlovable guy on television that it may be a little too late…

I thought broke Corbin was going to lead to him redeeming himself somehow but it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen. And that’s ok.

Rey Mysterio has been a babyface his entire WWE run. Corbin can be a heel for all of hisz

I ain't even read the opening post but just to answer the question plain and simple, yes. Broke Corbin could have been a potential segue to making that happen, but that's not really on the table now. I feel like it's all just a matter of creating a good character arc to get him there.

Corbin isn't a biker :TI:

Dude's a luxury car guy.

Happy Corbin the douche in a fedora and Hawaiian shirts is the closest you'll see to the real person.
