TNA President Dixie Carter spoke to Fred Tropel of CanMag.com and explained that TNA Wrestling is going up against a corporate juggernaut that will stop at nothing to put them out of business.

“Our competition may not have the same opinion that competition is good for an industry and take every opportunity to try to shut us down," she said. "I mean, it is the truest of David-and-Goliath situations, but we are scrappy. We will not take no for an answer, and we are going to have great success."

With everything that WWE has going for them, Carter believes her company has a better in ring product and knows what the fans want.

"I think that these days you don’t have to be a bigger-than-life cartoon character. I mean, it’s much more about reality and what these guys can do in the ring. They are amazing athletes," Carter said. "I can have an all-pro football player, an NBA star on, and they say, 'We could never do something like this.' You have no off season. It's 52 weeks a year, and then we tour in between that. These guys are incredible athletes, and we do focus on the athleticism on our show much, much more."

Well she is right with better ring product atleast.

If we had tna's in ring product and wwe's ways it could be a damn good combo. Tna will always be the weaker fed no matter what. Cant doubt them trying though.

Oh Vince knows noumenon. He went nuts when he saw flair arrive in tna Jeff hardy also. Hurricane i think will join Jeff soon. Vince better keep his talent cause if not he is feeding the new young beast that is TNA.

Why wouldn't the WWE try to shut them down? A company does best when it has it's industry monopolized. More or less every company is trying to shut down their competition. Don't think for a second that, if they could, TNA would be all for shutting the WWE down.

Apparently, they invite competition. Anyways, the little things count Dixie and sometime you miss those. Instead of saying you listen to what the people want actually listen to them when they say "this is bulls***" or "we want___" As far as talent is concerned, I don't see a major difference. Both companies don't follow up on pushes IMO

If TNA truly invited competition, they would not have made Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley, Homicide, etc. sign exclusive deals with TNA to prevent them from working in ROH. TNA is a business, and a business' number one priority is profit.

I don't think WWE will be able to shut TNA down unless WWE was able to pick up main event wrestlers that keep TNA from being another boring wrestling promotion, but seeing as how I don't ever see Styles, Angle, Joe, etc joining the WWE TNA has a better chance than WCW did to overtake WWE one day and be the more dominant wrestling promotion.

is this why they have Hogan/Eazy E on every 10-15 mins of each Impact show?

Tbh the TNA Crowd is one of the worst arena base crowd i have seen of this era of mainsteam pro wrestling.

^^^^Indeed it was that child toucher who ruined everything. TNA pulled their talent immediately.

Damn I wish Dixie would shut up. She makes big statements with no evidence or proof whatsoever. What is WWE doing to put them out of business? TNA is doing just fine on their own at that. She is just a dumb twat trying to garner sympathy as WWE is pretty ignorant of TNA.

Well she is right with better ring product atleast.
That's entirely debatable. They have very few guys that can have truly great matches and not just spot fests or as someone so perfectly dubbed them "AWESOME MOVEZ".
