That's insane. NDAs should never be legally binding, if any kind of crimes are involved or have been witnessed.

Yeah unfortunately it would require Congress to sign legislation that limits the scope of Non-Disclosure Agreements to businesses and not private individuals, and additionally making strict rules on what can and cannot be disclosed.

You're not allowed to to have NDAs when it comes to sexual assault anymore so there's a good chance they don't hold up if anyone does speak up but these were signed prior to the change and the argument would be "was it assault or consensual" bc they didn't prohibit NDAs for consensual sex

Isn't it great that NDAs which were meant to protect business secrets instead have just become essentially a "sign this so you can't sue if I rape you" clause

Tbh tho it's my personal belief that NDAs in general are a tool used by the powerful to keep the weak under their boot. If I had any say, I'd abolish them entirely. If your business can't survive when somebody reveals the inner workings of it, it probably doesn't deserve to exist.
