I am not a conspiracy theorist, as I am sure most of you know. Without any actual evidence about WWE faking this or overstating it, I am not going to accuse them of either. However, I do have to agree that there are certain things about this which seem fishy.
The very fact is that we have very little information on Roman's condition to begin with. There are different kinds of leukemia, different treatments and severities. But we have been told none of this. So everything we put forth is speculative.
Yes, recurrent leukemia can go into remission very quickly. It is completely conceivable that everything we have heard is 100% honest. Regardless though, the handling of this was really bad.
It confuses me that WWE would have him come back so soon. The reason is not because he might not be healthy, but that they should have known this would be coming. Most people know very little about cancer and I would assume that to nearly anyone, it seems fishy especially if they don't know the facts. And most people don't.
A man who may be the most polarizing wrestler of all time gives up his belt because of a relapse of leukemia. He takes a break from wrestling, only to return four months later in remission and a month before Wrestlemania. Hmmm.
I think Vince is up to something, but probably not something everyone thinks. I do not believe Roman or Vince faked cancer. I do not believe that WWE or Roman tried to make the cancer look worse than it was. I do not believe Roman came back too soon.
What I do believe is that Roman's cancer went into remission. And I do believe that Vince KNEW that we would be having this discussion if he brought Roman back right away. There is no way he didn't know that people would think it was a work. So basically, they got a lot of buzz created around a topic by doing nothing more than being honest. And I am sure they are happy about it.
