I still don't understand why people think the cancer was fake. Sure, it got the guy who wwe have invested the most in the last 5 years to finally be an over babyface. But that does not mean they have worked or overplayed anything. It's just so happens they have benefited from a horrible situation. I don't think they care tbh, presumably the company is just happy he's OK.
When Roman first told us about the Leukemia, most people felt that he was going to be gone for a very long time. Over the few months there was little mention of him at all. Then suddenly, right before Wrestlemania, he comes back. And he's better. And in time for Wrestlemania.
I can completely understand why people think he faked it. First, most people do not know how quickly leukemia can go into remission. When you hear about someone having cancer, you get pictures of them being sickly and bald even though that isn't really as typical as people believe.
So looking at the way people don't really know a lot about cancer, how he never appeared sick and how it seems like he came back at the perfect time.... yeah I completely understand why people are thinking it was a work. When things work out so well, people tend to have questions.
Agai, to reiterate, I do not think they faked it. I do think WWE wants us to think of the possibility though.
