I know Mickie James left to start a music career and was tired of being told to lose weight, but did she make a mistake? I mean I have not really heard of any of her songs making the top twenty chart. So did she make a mistake by leaving when she did?

It's a well known fact that the WWE tries to put a stranglehold around their talent who want to do other projects along with wrestling.

Different people have different motivations too, sure I bet all artists would take it if you offered them a #1 single or album, but some people are just happy following their dreams. That goes with all different areas in life too, acting, wrestling, sports, music etc.

As far as the OP goes, Mickie didn't have anything going for her towards the end of her WWE run. She was no longer the focal point of the divas division, LayCool took her spot. So why not follow her dream after getting released? She had nothing to lose.

I don't see how it was a mistake even if she did say leave on her own terms which she didn't mainly due to the fact the one thing TNA goes do better than WWE is use their women and give them real T.V time with feuds and promos. Far as her music outside of her theme song haven't really heard it so can't judge it.

If this was back when WWE actually cared about the divas then hell yeah it woulda been a mistake. She had a top notch program against Trish, had a real nice match at mania 22. I mean she was on fire back then.

Then they kept saying she was fat, had divas poke fun at her... have like a 2 minute match...blah blah.

In TNA, well last I saw, she gets to talk, she gets to have a match that lasts longer than a piss break. I think she made the right choice.
