How many episodes is this season going to be?? just watched #9 and the ending and scenes from next week's seem to hint that they are starting the final push towards the end.... a little surprised the build has taken this long but it sure looks like shit is heading towards the fan and I can't wait for it to hit....

I agree, Zach was a great character and it sucks to see him being killed off so soon after his introduction.

I saw it coming from a mile away that Vogul was the brain surgeon so it didn't surprise me all that much but it was still an upset to have her kill of Zach. </3

What the fuck was with them showing me TONS of Dexter/MCH's ass but nothing at all of Hannah? Stop teasing us Yvonne! And wtf showtime. Another one of your shows, "Ray Donovan", showed me fucking Liev Schreiber's ass this week.

But in all honesty, really enjoyed this week's episode and started taking a liking to Zack this episode which is a change as I didn't like him too much an episode or two beforehand. I was looking forward to the progression between him and Dexter. Was going along nicely this episode. And fucking Vogel you old cunt. I knew it was you all along bitch. Maybe her and Mathews are in cahoots?

I think Matthews knows and has known about Dexter all along. Harry, Vogel, and Matthews probably did it all together instead of just Harry and Vogel.

FUCK HANNAH! I swear this season would be so much better if it wasn't her, and it sucks she's going to be such a big part (probably the biggest) in the ending of the show. Anything that doesn't involve her this season is awesome, Vogel and now the revelation that it's her son that was so awesome, I just don't give a fuck about Hannah.

That revelation of him being Vogel's son... I think Vogel already knew. I'm still convinced that she is the Brain Surgeon, this is just another way they're trying to mislead us.

Last 2 episodes have been TERRIFIC!!! Really have me excited for the final 3 as I honestly have no idea where it could end up going... Not a huge fan of Hannah either [MENTION=1891]Chris[/MENTION] but having her around certainly fits the storyline with her having Dex distracted and now the Fed. Marshall right up their ass...

Just finished watching the 2nd to last episode and God Damn am I pumped for the finale!!! This season has been Excellent! the dude playing Oliver Saxson is Fantastic! Will be really sad to see the show go but if the finale follows through with the build thus far, it should be great as well

Does anyone know if the finale will be 2 hours? Seems like they have a whole lot to crap up in just an hour..

I disagree with this season being excellent, but overall I've still really enjoyed it (better than 7 for sure) and the last episode was pretty fucking awesome. I'm excited for the finale and even if it's shitty (think I'll be pretty happy with it though), the show won't be hurt too much from it despite the past two seasons being comparatively weaker to the earlier ones. Also really love the incoming storm (literal) even though that's one of the most overused devices in literature and film, it's one of my favorite especially when the "storm" that's coming is an actual storm. Shit's about to go down this last episode.

I currently have this season as my 4th favorite (behind 4, 1 and 2)... I consider it excellent mostly because I wasn't sure they could recover from season 7 and IMO they have and also, typically, final seasons are done poorly and this has been done very well.... add in terrific performances from the actors playing Zach and Oliver... great stuff for me..

Right now my list would probably be 4, 2, 1, 6, 8, 5, 3, 7. I think I'm in the minority, but I thought 6 was fucking awesome. The religious aspect and Brother Sam characters were amazing.

Oh, I fucking loved season 6, Mos Def was AMAZING as brother Sam and 2 great performances from Colin hanks and Edward james Almos.... Season 4 is the clear cut best IMO, not even close... I have season 1 next because it did such a great job of setting the tone for the series... then 2,6 and 8 are all kinda jumbled in together all "excellent" but interchangeable in a top 10....

Just caught up to the latest episode and I gotta say I'm loving how it's being played out. I too never really Hanna in Season 7, and my biggest fear for Season 8 was that she was going to be the main antagonist; glad to say that I'm wrong though as I'm loving her relationship with Dexter.

As for the latest episode I nearly screamed at my computer when they left Saxton alone in the room, I just KNEW that he was going to escape. Not surprised to see the Marshall get killed off either, mostly because I knew that Kenny Johnston was only signed onto the show for 3 episodes.

Also my order for favourite seasons are 2,4,1,3,6,5,7. Season 2 is easily the best one namely because of Doakes! :dexter:
