I’m just going to say it.
A lot of you just need to chill the fuck out.
It’s a game. There’s literally no need for it to devolve into a repeated slew of personal insults, moaning and anything in between.
On multiple occasions there were people in this game that we’re attempting to force their points through using emotional manipulation, gaslighting and taunting - and it wasn’t for the purpose of forwarding their agenda in the game.
It’s extremely toxic. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if there have been people in the past that have wanted to try mafia out here and then never played again because of the attitudes of some people here. It’s simply not fair on those that just want to get their heads down and play the game, because they have to cut through the swathes of whining, swearing, name calling and just general complaining.
Personally, I really don’t give enough of a fuck to get all worked up like that when playing mafia and I encountered people seemingly doing their best to test that and get a rise out of me. It didn’t happen and it never will. I simply do not care enough to allow an online game of mafia cause me to have an outburst like that.
It absolutely is possible to play a game in a civil way with people that you personally do not get along with. Not everyone on WC saw eye to eye but it rarely got in the way of games and people being able to play with each other.
That’s a perspective from someone on the outside. I’ll still play some more games here but don’t be surprised if that changes if none of this is addressed and it carries on.
