Your premise is completely faulty. Why would discussing a random character (obviously, he is scum so nobody knows he is this character) draw attention to himself? It’s just setup/theme spec lol it’s not drawing attention to himself. The fact he happened to be the character he was discussing is completely irrelevant in this case because he was not admitting to being that character.
here he admitted to not being the main town alignment, after we Lynched somebody that claimed the same alignment and he never even mentioned it. That’s guaranteed to draw attention because people don’t like it when you claim something different to their own alignment
At any point, discussing your character/flavour, even not as a claim like the MJF scenario is going to be a risk and posts around characters/theme spec/set up spec are going to draw attention. Suspicion? Not necessarily, but people will look at those posts, especially from experienced hosts or those with theme knowledge. We’ve already seen those posts this game around the theme knowledge/scum team. Hell, we even discussed it about Ryuk.
That last paragraph isn’t accurate. Smark has claimed the main town alignment and a secondary alignment right after we saw a town player flip the same alignment.
It was never meant to develop into a huge argument. I gave reasonings for my vote on Smark earlier for his claim. I was disputing one point that Smark wouldn’t draw attention to himself as scum and used the AEW game as a “in this situation, he wasn’t afraid to risk that there, I think he’d do the same here”
I don’t buy the claim
I don’t buy the idea that he didn’t look at his PM and completely missed the fact his alignment colour was different to the OP or that Banez claimed someone mentioned in his pm.
I do buy that he dropped that “man I’m that alignment too!” as a juicy WIFOM bomb to try and garner town reads, the ole “Smark wouldn’t risk that as scum”
