David Beckham announced recently that he would be finishing up his LA Galaxy one year early and will be looking for one last challenge to close out his career. He is 37 but still has plenty to offer, especially to clubs in lower leagues. He did a brilliant job in the US with promoting the league and getting the league more attention worldwide, obviously he was a fantastic player for them as well guiding them to a title but his impact is more than just to the team it is for the whole league. Beckham would also have been a factor in helping to get more top line players over there.

With Beckham open to one final challenge where do you think he will end up? Will it be in Europe, Asia, Australia or somewhere else?

Yeah he did a hell of a job in MLS, he really raised awareness again and the US must truly capitalise on these publicity boosts. You've got the likes of Keane and Henry playing football out there, two of the best front men to play in this country, and the American football (soccer) fans deserve it. I'd love association football to get a good support like the NFL gets here in the UK. The more sports for all the better.

As for Becks, I like the guy, and hope his 'challenge' is over Europe way so I can watch more games. PSG love the guy and I wouldn't be surprised if they threw thousands and thousands at him to get him.

One thing to note, on a day of Gaza fighting, fraud stories and a number of deaths in the UK due to the cold/violence David Beckham's leaving was the headline story on the BBC website. The guy now transcends popularity.

Yeah, PSG could possibly be Beckham's next club. They don't exactly need him (at all), but with the money they have they can easily splash out as much cash as they need to get him. Also, Paris would be a good place for Victoria Beckham to continue with her 'entrepreneurship' in fashion.

Personally I think it'd be great to see Beckham play in Australia. He did wonders in the MLS with assisting the league in gaining exposure, so it'd be cool if he could do the same with the A-League along with Alessandro Del Piero, Emile Heskey and Shinji Ono.

It'll be interesting to see where he ends up. You can almost guarantee that money isn't part of the problem to a certain extent.

He has been linked strongly to Melbourne Heart.

I'd love to see him play in Australia because it'd put A-League on the map with the other international superstars.

This.

He has kids, so isn't going to uproot and go to some random outback town in Aus. Plus his Mrs has his balls in her purse so he won't be making the decision anyway, she'll go to some fashion capital like Milan or Paris and Becks will follow like a lap dog.

If he comes to Australia it would just be a ten week stint, basically an extended holiday rather than a full on relocation. There are some decent offers out there from A-League clubs but I don't think that it will be enough in the end. I don't think there is enough appeal for Beckham to come here even though he could have a considerable impact on the league.

Becks would be stupid to go to Australia, I mean fucking Emile Heskey is there and by all accounts is doing well that's how poor that league is. Just go be a bit part player at PSG now they're becoming a serious force, get paid a shit load of cash and your wife will be happy at the same time.

I'm Arsenal through and through but I'd love to see him back at United for a bit, would be amazing for the Prem.

PSG were set to make an offer 9 days ago but this story just appeared on BBC Sport : BBC Sport - David Beckham set to begin talks with AS Monaco

Long and short of it is, after interest from PSG as well as Russian and Brazillian teams, Becks is set for talks with French side AS Monaco.

Glad it's in Europe at least, will see more of him before he retires in various cups hopefully.

Yeah right? Feel dumb for presuming they'd be competing in lower tier Europe stuff because they really were an underrated force a few years back. Only just realised they've been plying their trade in Ligue 2 as of late. 8th last year!!

Where did it go wrong for them I wonder? Still as it pertains to Becks, very odd given the interest from PSG and presumably from EPL clubs if he wanted to come back but hey, if the moneys right. Everyones got their price I suppose. Would be a hell of a coup to get promoted after he turned up, maybe it's an ego trip haha

I think it was financial issues that got them to where they are. It's mad because they made the CL Final in 2004 (I think it was that year) and now they can't even get in French Ligue 1. Maybe Becks just wants to play and isn't all about the money.
