This is a 6 episode series about some of the darker behind the scenes stories of wrestling. One of the shows creators was just on Jim Cornettes podcast and goes into more detail about it. I think it looks really interesting and well produced and thought that it would be a good idea to share the trailer.

I would watch this and wouldn't think it is a bad idea, but I saw Viceland/Vice attached to it, and I am passing on it.

I just finished watching the Montreal Screwjob episode and had a hard time believing that Vince Russo was the guy who pitched the idea of a double cross finish to Vince McMahon. He doesn't come across as that sophisticated mind.

On another note, Jim Cornette's gave a wrestling history lesson (which is THE most important history lesson of 'em all) of the original screwjob between Ed "Strangler" Lewis and Henri Deglane. Lewis refused to drop the title because it was money. Deglane and his manager Dan Koloff devised a scheme where Koloff bit Deglane in the arm in the dressing room. When the match began, Deglane was locking up with Ed Lewis and Deglane complained to the referee that Lewis bit him in the arm. That was a disqualification and, at the time, the title could change hands on a disqualification so Deglane was awarded the title.

Just watched it as well. I thought it was really good. Jim Cornette was great. I certainly believe his side of the story. Cornette loves the wrestling business and has such deep knowledge of it.

Just watched the Bruiser Brody episode. Very good and informative. I learned many things I didn't know about the incident.. Plan to watch the other ones later, except the stupid Montreal Screwjob. That topic has been beat to death over the years.

The Bruiser episode is by far the best one yet. But check out the Screwjob episode because the way they cover is way better and more interesting than any other documentary i seen before

I just finished watching the Murder of Bruiser Brody episode and must say Tony Atlas' interview throughout the film was riveting. He was descriptive about the events which took place leading up to the stabbing of Bruiser. Jose Huerta Gonzalez and Brody had a match in the mid 80's and Brody beat the shit out of him. Jose Huerta was rushed to the hospital where he mumbled to S.D. Jones he was going to "kill" Brody one of these days. Brody had a minority ownership stake in the World Wrestling Council and was going to collect his $20,000 and he was going to fire Huerta as the booker. This, coupled with Huerta losing his three-year old daughter led to this murder.

A few years ago I read Brody: Triumph and Tragedy of Wrestling's Rebel by Larry Matysik and the wrestlers who watched Jose Huerta Gonzalez matches claimed he was a performer with two left feet who thought he was better than he actually was.

It goes into detail about the trial. Matysik also refutes the myth that Brody was difficult to work with with promoters.
