During a commercial for NXT, they announced that Daniel Bryan will return to the ring to wrestle on next week's Smackdown which will be the first Smackdown on Thursday night on Syfy.

Eh, they had to do something big to hype the return to Thursdays. Advertising Bryan makes sense to me.
