Mr Cobalt said:The Big Show thing was indeed of equal caliber, and it's not fair in that sense. The Vince thing...well come on, he's the owner so what is he going to do, fire himself?
Vince McMahon said:I agree with punk!
BrockLesnarFanForLife said:CM Punk is right AW crossed the line making a joke about rape on a PG show plus CM Punk respects women alot so obviously he doesnt find rape funny at all
Crayo said:You can't deny it was stupid of AW to say it though, all be it very funny. He wasn't even fired for that though and it would have been stupid if he was.
Hollywood Dolph'sZiggler said:Honestly I could give a F*** about AW or him being fired lol. It's not a blip on my radar. I'm just speaking against Punk's view of "don't make rape jokes they aren't funny" stance
Has anyone looked up the vid I've been pimping? I would post it if I could. It's hella relevant and Patrice Oneil is a bad motherfucker spitting truth bombs all over the place
Crayo said:I haven't but I'm a huge Frankie Boyle fan so I'm pretty much on your side of the fence with this too. I don't think there's any boundary with comedy if I'm honest. I doubt Kobe could give a s*** about this joke anyway.
Mr Cobalt said:Once again, Kobe Bryant isn't the one WWE is afraid of offending, it's rape victims.
Mr Cobalt said:I had this in an edit, but I'll just make it it's own post.
And while every topic has potential to be funny, not every topic is funny to every person, and that's what a lot of you guys seem to be overlooking. Let's say someone made a joke about people who are paralyzed. If your wife was paralyzed, you probably wouldn't find it funny, while someone whose wife is completely fine would laugh at it. Rape jokes are funny to everybody except those raped, and that is why such a big deal was made out of it. It really comes down to empathy. As you mentioned, they care about their reputation, and a joke that was viewed by millions of people on cable TV that has the ability to offend a percentage of that viewership damages reputation.
