What do you guys think of this angle? I'm pretty sure Punk's faking it and this will probably be the driving force behind his heel turn. The question is, when are they finally going to reveal it? You can't keep teasing a heel turn forever because when it finally happens, if its been teased for too long, nobody's going to care. I think they should reveal Punk's been faking the entire time at Night of Champions. Maybe during the match have Punk sell his eye injury for like 5 minutes while the referee checks on him. Then out of nowhere Punk hits the GTS on Hardy, pins him 1...2...3 and all of a sudden his eye is magically fine. This could be a great way to turn CM Punk heel and I hope this is the route the writers are going to take.

Thoughts?

I say feed him to Jericho and let Jericho tell all.

He did with Michaels thus proving Jericho is already a master optometrist. That's how they should play this lame angle off.

Yeah, it just reeks of mixing HBK's two injury storylines together.

He could wear an eye patch like Scotty Riggs in WCW.

I think he won't turn heel. You say it's too obvious that he will, while I say it's too obvious he won't. Actually, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Hardy will turn heel over this.

^ the main reason WWE doesn't turn their top babyfaces is due to merchandise sales. Jeff Hardy is up there in that department, doesn't that mean he's in the "never turn heel" category as well? Think about it. Plus, he's one of the biggest faces on Smackdown! and he's extremely over with the crowd, why waste that?

Hardy might be leaving soon and punk definitely look like a heel with all these bitch copout wins so i think he will.

I think that the crowd will turn him heel before management does.

CM Punk sells just as much merch. And the Hardys together were a big seller and they split them up. The only people I see in the never turn heel category are Rey and Cena. Plus it's not in their characters. Hardy's character has always been just about him where as Cena and Rey are pretty much on a crusade of "righteousness."

I know it LOOKS like Punk will, but I just think WWE will swerve you all on this one. I could be wrong in many ways, but you never know.

Right and that's obviously what they want, but they could easily switch back when they see who the REAL bad guy is.

Punk pretty much is heel already. Have you heard his promos? Have you seen the way he acts in the ring lately? He just hasn't pulled the trigger for the full blown turn yet. His eye injury is a great way to push him over the edge.
Insert Jericho to call him out on his bullshit...we've got two heels feuding....or possibly a cheered Jericho, which I'm sure isn't what WWE wants right now.
