I don't think the AEW fans are mad he's going to WWE because it's going to make WWE better. It's quite the opposite I think.

Damn, AEW fans are mad about this lmao.
I don't get this, I thought people were happy he left the company, shouldn't they be glad he's going to cause trouble in the rival promotion?

Watch him be a model teammate and stay in the company a whole 20 years now that you say this. :heston

nah, shit leopards never change their shit spots Randy. this is literally the definition of insanity
You mean like how he was in there to be from 2005 to 2013 without any behavioral issues whatsoever outside of walking out for health and creative differences which is not what happened in AEW.

Punk 1000% fucked up a really good thing he had going with AEW and it really sucks that it tainted so much of the AEW discussion and I get what is being said here about not wanting that in WWE and it’s possible that he will do that in the WWE this time but I do think it’s disingenuous to imply that’s what happened the first time because it isn’t.

I’m torn between excited and and not excited because I would love to see punk back in the promotion he was originally in and see if maybe he could have a better go there because I still love punk but yes I’m also torn because I don’t wanna see more headlines with punk drama and I don’t wanna have any more conversations like the one that’s going on in this thread right now. It’s getting exhausting.

It is not unreasonable to expect fans of one promotion to not want to deal with a headache in the backstage area of another promotion. Even if it's WWE that he's going to.

I don't know why people can't reasonably think, "Well, he turned into a cancer in one organization, all of his woes self inflicted, what is to say he wouldn't do the same in another organization, especially one where he burned his bridge already."

If we're being honest, the stuff that Punk did in AEW should have him blackballed from the business, in any reasonable world. He didn't do anything to the level of Tessa Blanchard, who very much is blackballed in the business, but he attacked multiple people, spread a bunch of shit around the locker room, tried to ban others from being in the same building as him, and attempted to throttle his employer. Why, regardless of who the person is, would anyone want that in the locker room?

you are well within your rights to believe that he never caused problems in WWE and everywhere else he went and back your boy. I stand by everything I've said in this thread and am quite confident I will be proven right over time.

I’m just going with the facts. Punk was not fired for getting into fights in the WWE in his first run and Vince even waited 8 months for the possibility of him returning to work like when Austin eventually returned. You have every right to think it might happen again, but there is no evidence that he caused problems in WWE the first time. At least not big enough to warrant any coverage or his termination.

no one said he was fired for getting in a fight. doesn't mean he didn't start shit, was a miserable prick and made a lot of people unhappy there to the point that people still in the company publicly have said they dislike him .

I mean if Seth Rollins of all people publicly states he doesn't want you in the company... :draper2

Shit must have gone down behind the scenes that we don't know about.
