I like this comment so I'm gonna post it here (not my thoughts but I agree with them):

CM Punk maligning someone for doing "dumb internet shit" on a major PPV when his own resentment leading up to Brawl Out was based exclusively on him caring too much about dirtsheet rumors and "dumb internet shit" is too rich in irony for me to take this stuff seriously. The only thing he's consistent with is his commitment to intellectual dishonesty.
I’m not really sure where the irony is in this one because it’s the exact same situation that just happened twice. His problem wasn’t specifically that there was a rumor on the Internet it was that hangman brought that rumor to television, same as when Jack Perry brought their backstage confrontation onto pay-per-view. It was the same problem he had just had it happen twice.

Again for clarification, punk shouldn’t have punched anybody in the case of the elite, or choke somebody in the case of Perry, as that’s supposedly what happened in that confrontation.

This is why Sammy is a good kid. He tweeted this while serving the suspension for AEW. This means he gets that he did wrong.

the irony is for one that he was the one who put the Perry story in the dirstsheets in the first place via Hausman and others. It's like when he says he's sick or not about drama then proceeds to causing drama. It's also ironic because he has made a career of using internet bullshit and insider baseball to get over, including in his last run talking about billion dollar Phil and Zaslav (which was pretty rich, nothing says punk rock like a dick riding a tv exec...).

It's just another example of many of Phil thinking he can dish it out but never take it / his perpetual victim complex.

Find it also quite curious that certain people find this interesting and funny, yet when a certain owner makes a single tweet they are petty, unprofessional, annoying, should be better etc...very interesting!

Fair enough. We’ll just have to agree to disagree then, because I think there’s a difference between using insider terms to increase your character or your story versus taking beef legitimate beef you have with with a person and bringing that on television with an unprompted shoot.

The Haus thing I think would’ve been equally stupid, but from my recollection of the timeline that would’ve had to have been after when he had already been pretty much waiting to be fired.

no the real glass story was fed by punk to hausman before all in, hence why jack said the comment.

it was right after Punk made his dumb comments about Hangman after a dynamite or collision , actually. he put that story out there to save face. so really again, it was his own doing that put the story out there in the first place - I think he should take his own advice sometimes and

You right. I forgot that that story also broke first. Yeah punk shouldn’t have done that either. But I will still say though that that’s not the same thing as doing it live on pay-per-view, but I will punk looks stupid for doing that.

If you go by this interview, perhaps that was after he asked Tony to do something about it and he didn’t but I’m not too worried about trying to piece together this timeline anymore. Punk acted poorly and he was rightly terminated. Which I think was a net positive for everybody involved. The relationship just wasn’t working.

He should take his own advice. Thankfully, I think he mostly has since then I would hope outside of this interview and hopefully this interview was just his last get it out of his system thing and we don’t hear about it again.

Perry is a fucking idiot for doing what he did on the biggest ppv of the company's history, was selfish as fuck too - just want to be clear

I’ll be honest if it’s only jokes about punching people in the face, I don’t care too much just cause it’s just funny self deprecation, but as long as he doesn’t do anything else to directly talk about it.

I don’t know if you saw that last segment though I caught it as so Many people were talking about it and it was so good.
