CM Punk has been red hot in the news for the past 12 hours. In fact, DGUSA/EVOLVE Booker Gabe Sapolsky has already been flooded with requests for Punk to appear in the WWNLive Family, which includes DGUSA, EVOLVE, SHINE and FIP, where Punk had a lengthy run in 2004-2005. Sapolsky has this statement on Punk:

"CM Punk and I were close at one time, but have not spoken in months. There was no falling out or heat to my knowledge, it's just how things go with both of us leading very different lives now. In other words, I have no inside track or info, just a take on things. I have already received many messages with fans asking for Punk in DGUSA and EVOLVE, especially with the shows coming up in New Orleans on April 3rd, 4th and 5th as part of the WWNLive Experience. However, knowing Punk I would be shocked if he ever did an independent wrestling show again. There's probably a better chance HHH shows up at a non-WWE event. Punk has given himself 110% to the business over the last few years. His scheduled amazed me because there was no way any human should have had to endure it. He gave his heart, soul and body to WWE and every wrestling fan. My take on all this is it is best now to just leave Punk alone. Let him recharge, refresh and get his life back. He mentally and physically needs it. If and when he's ready to do something, I'm sure he will. Just leave him alone and let him be."

He's the reason I started watching WWE again. At one point, in 2012 he was the only remotely interesting guy on the entire roster. All of his segments and matches were gold. Sure his feud with Rybaxel sucked but I'll miss him.

@deth did you see this? If he left we should celebrate by completely never remembering he existed! :dawg:

But seriously, I love the dude when I first started watching again and it seems the last 2 years, since his pipebomb crap, he has been going down hill. Too repetitive and his true colors started showing towards fans. And he cries and has fits over the dumbest stuff like a little preteen girl.

This is what former ROH booker and current DGUSA and Evolve booker Gabe Sapolsky, who worked closely with Punk for years in ROH and helped make him a star, has to say:

Fucking grammaninja'd.

Bryan was an angry midget paired with Kane and Ziggler was just waiting to cash-in. Also, wtf kind of bullshit comment is that? You expecting me to say oh you're right, he was 1 of 3 interesting people? That changes everything. I can see why a Bryan fanboy like yourself will be happy because it's one less main-eventer and he will now face HHH, but overall the product will suffer long-term, no doubt about it.

This. Adam's problem isn't with Punk, it's that he's such a Bryan fanboy.

Hope this isn't true. It wouldn't make sense for him to leave in the middle of a big storyline.

Also Blue Punk marks, read:

Seems like there are no Blue Punk marks in here, 95% are haters and the other 5% are smart Punk fans.

In response to your earlier comment in response to Adam: What you said is right. Outside of giving DB something relevant to do at WM this doesn't do the company any favors. They may have lost one of their top stars and the only star this company has kinda-truly made since Jeff Hardy.
