I'm gonna miss the guy, I enjoyed his wrestling and was one of the reasons I even got back into wrestling. For whatever reason he left, I hope he has a great retirement, it's fair to say he earned it.

I hear ya man....sometimes when a wrestler gets out of the game people do not shut up about it. When I was young buck all the people talked about was when is the Ultimate Warrior coming back or Hogan for that matter(Movies). Wrestling is a business and the damage these athletes do their bodies is very underrated. Good for every wrestler that can get out like CM Punk. Too many wrestlers I grew up watching and loved have died for whatever reason.

Hm... I really don't mind. He wasn't doing his best work before he left anyway. I can do with or without Punk at this point, plus he said he was going to retire early anyway so that's no surprise (if it's legit, obviously).

Seeing as Punk was one of the more higher paid superstars as much as the WWE would've been "happy" to get him back they are probably pretty happy as well deep down knowing that they've lost so much money since Wrestlemania they're glad they don't have to invest into another highly paid superstar for a shitty storyline :/

I don't see how this kills any rumors.

For instance I'm certain @Wacokid27 thinks this is all a smokescreen

Yep. All a smokescreen. He'll be back on Sunday at Payback. I'm calling it.

On a serious note, his retirement wouldn't exactly be a big shock. I wish he'd come out in January and just said that's what was happening, as it would have saved everybody a lot of speculation. But, really, he's retired.

I'm still going to keep up my gimmick, just to yank the chains of all the Punk haters who get worked up everytime someone disagrees with their contention that he was terrible, that he wasn't a good wrestler, etc.

But, seriously, and this isn't Wacokid27 talking to @Dolph'sZiggler . This is Waco talking to DZ here: he's gone. We all know it. Let it go.

Now that I've said that, he'll definitely be back on Sunday at Payback.
