Read Closely at what a Fan broke into pieces. Everything that CM Punk said in that promo from June 27, 2011 foreshadowed something.

"I'm the best. I'm the best in the world."
He ended up adopting that line as his catchphrase and is now central to why he feels he deserves respect.

"Sometimes I think the WWE would be better off if Vince McMahon were dead, but then it'd be in the hands of his doofus son-in-law..."
Triple H ended up taking over, (kayfabe wise) and became the COO.

"...a bunch of yes-men like John Laurinitis." Laurinitis became an on-screen personality and authority figure after being unknown to most people.

"...but the fact that the Rock is headlining WrestleMania and not me makes me sick!" It now looks like Punk vs Rock at the Royal Rumble is a strong possibility.

"That's right, I'm a Paul Heyman guy." Well, you guys saw what happened on Raw!

It's amazing really. Kind of like the WWE was telling us some major plot points that were to come.

I know this is from a fanpage, but I do remember thinking the same thing after watching Raw. So basically if it actually was like this and it was a major angle the whole time, then kudos, but knowing WWE it probably is Punk himself just throwing out ideas that make sense.

Yeah if this was a long term thing it was probably Punk's idea mostly as I'm not ready to give WWE creative that much credit. It is crazy how prophetic that promo has ended up being and kind of coming full circle trying to prove he is the best against the guy who is precived as the best (as he also said in his 2011 promo) who he feuded with last year in John Cena. Cool shit.

I've thought about this myself a few times, never really so in-depth, but I remember thinking after HHH was put in charge that Punk had just said something about that, same thing when Ace suddenly started appearing.

The connection never occurred to me with the other scenarios, but the reveal on Monday definitely made me think back to last year's promo.

As much as I'd like to say that Punk called all of this, and they scripted it towards his words... it's a lot of coincidence a while later. Maybe Punk was sitting in the creative discussions, maybe he just predicted the easily predictable. Maybe Punk is a prophet, with visions of the future that he just HAD to share with the world. Either way, he's making this show entertaining as possible when he's on it... other than that RAW's a sinking ship.

Half this shit hasn't even happened yet and he's being treated like Nostradamus.

If Vince dies, Rock's career reaches a new low and he actually faces Punk, and Punk somehow becomes 'best in the world' at anything besides killing ratings, then I'll give him credit for his psychic prowess.

He also mentioned Colt Cabana and was wearing a steve austin T-shirt. So keep on eye on both of those men. Wouldnt be surprised to see one or both involved in a storyline for Mania.

I don't think that WWE and Punk planned this over a year ago. I think that someone in WWE probably looked back on the promo and decided that they could link a few things together to make it look like everything Punk said is coming true.

These are some good connections. WWE creative though is not that smart, and it seem like the pieces fell in place to those events happening. I really do think it is a good thought and opinion.

CM Punk being the WWE Champion probably explains most of this. Being the top guy of the company means that you probably get preferential treatment. I would be surprised if Punk is not included in creative meetings because over the past year or so he has been given a lot of airtime to cut his promos, most of which have been factual. Punk knows what most of the WWE fans think about the product and the people that work behind the scenes and to have him speak badly about them on TV in such a revealing way tells you a lot about how much control he really has over creative.

Punk did that whole promo from the gut. That wasn't scripted. Everything after that has been very scripted though, based on that promo.

Nobody gets to do a promo without the boss giving it the thumbs up. Worked shoots are nothing new.
