I was raging pretty bad as well. It's like the fans longed to see his major title run, only for it to get stolen. I'll admit that Orton and Christian have great chemistry. Also, I think that's when the Orton hate really took off.
I didn't mind the idea of a short title run for Christian, but that was just uncalled for.
I would have been happy for at least two months. Not really a month. Funny thing is, I didn't care when Cena beat Mysterio for the WWE Champion.
For what the guy has done for the business, if you are going to give him a belt, let him hold it for a while. Putting it on him and then suddenly taking it off is like saying "Hey, we know you like this guy, but it doesn't matter what you think as fans". Which is probably not as close to the mark as it feels like. It's just frustrating to like a guy, and see him get some run, and then have it taken right from under him.
At this point, I really don't mind it. Christian actually felt important for once. More than he did as a face. Had some great promos and Segments. One of them was with R-Truth and The Miz and the other one was with Triple H.
Think the promo went something like...
Triple H: You'll be facing Cena tonight
*Christian smirks
Christian: Is it for the WWE Championship?
Triple H: No
*Christian rages
I remember those. I got tired of the "One more match" thing, but other than that, I was glad to see him spending time near the top. Looking forward to seeing him come back in the RR. If he doesn't, I will be pretty bothered.

Also, this Royal Rumble is shaping up to be really big. I don't know if I'd be disappointed if he didn't appear, but I'll keep my expectations low so I can mark louder.
I think it'd be cool for Christian to enter the RR when The Shield are the only 3 in the ring considering the last time we saw him, he was mangled by them.
It's.. it's Christian. Grisham is such a mark for the guy. But yeah, at least his recent heel run was pretty entertaining. If/when he returns they should definitely give him something more interesting to do then just being a generic babyface.
