I mean he's not Benoit or Eddie between those ropes. Hell he isn't even Matt before Matt's guys exploded. He was always the weakest link in the tag wars and least over of the 6 and that's saying something. As a singles guy he took a long long time to come into his own, to put on the type of match he out on with Orton, and even now he's not close to a top 10 worker in the company in any fashion.

I don't think he ever cut it as a main eventer based off sheer wrestling talent, which is what he always needed since he never was the best talker, has an underwhelming look, and isnt insanely over as a face or heel. Hell the guy was the lowest drawing ecw champion of all time, and the rating went up when Swagger and Dreamer took it. That tells you his place on the totem pole in the eyes of the casual. A HOF, midcard hand who will always be remembered as the Canadian Janetty

It's bittersweet for me. I've always been a fan of his. Probably always will. I've always enjoyed his mic work, and his in ring skills aren't as bad as some people like to think. I think his best work as in the Attitude Era however. His stuff with the Un-Americans was great. But at the same time, I don't think he should be going near the WHC. I loved his run as champion though as I felt he worked as a great cowardly heel. I think he's somewhat over with the crowd, he got a pretty decent pop at Raw if I remember. Mind you, I could have just been hearing things.

Christian is head and sholders above Matt, and I really enjoyed Matt's 2005-07 SD run, but Christian's 2009 ECW return and his 2011 year was way better in terms or ring-work.

Now as for present day Christian your acting like "WWE" want him to have a year long WWE title run, but we all know that's not gonna happen and it pains me to say this but Christian is mid-card maybe might get that main event TV match once a month guy at this point. He's pretty much in the Jericho role where he's just here to work with the younger talent and to teach them things.

Agreed. I am just worried that the boat has been missed with him as far as main events go.
