Do we want him to be a fluke or a credible champion?

If it is supposed to be a fluke/transitional reign then just letting him hold the belt until the rematch and then dropping it will suffice. From there they can then book it ala Ziggler's first reign as WHC. With Sabin wanting to get a proper reign.

If we want him to be credible then the whole fluke thing needs to be addressed. Have the locker room say that they feel that Sabin might not be fully deserving adn Chris will then go out to prove them wrong. Weekly matches, each and every one a title match. Have him rack up defenses leading up to Bully's rematch to solidify his reign and prove that he does deserve to hold the gold. So that he isn't just a fluke. He can face TNA roster members, members of Aces and Eights all in the same, as long as he proves that he does deserve to hold the belt. As for the bully rematch, write in a clause that says he is guaranteed his match at Hardcore Justice despite who holds the belt. That way he can throw his aces at Sabin so that even if they don't beat him, they weaken him. Setting up a proper underdog/fighting champ against the monster/conniving heel set up for the rematch.

That's just off the top of my head.

Figured you'd have a good answer to that. TNA really needs someone like you in Creative, not just for your ideas but they definitely need someone to look at the flaws in everything. The storylines could be so much better if someone would speak up with things like "Shouldn't we address Sabin getting a fluke win?" Kudos to TNA for all the stories they do, but don't think that'll get addressed. :downer:

To answer your first question: How will the fans react? How will this affect ratings? Gotta wait for that to happen to see what the long term plan should be.

Giving this guy countless matches to make sure he's credible enough isn't a bad idea, as if he'll get over it'll be with his wrestling. Maybe you can have one match with a Devon or someone to push a storyline, but the rest of them should be MOTYC's with respected veterans imo. Think they can really do something with the whole "pure wrestler champion" and "TNA original" as opposed to the faction members, cowardly heels, and WWE rejects we've had for so long, but guess the ratings will tell us that.

The stipulation on the rematch gives me a lot of optimism, but we'll get to that when they announce it on TV.

No worries, it is my own fault lol

Not really, this thread title is bullshit.

Also, motyc? The match fucking sucked lol. I'm not super hyped about the outcome either the more I think about it.

I actually don't like this at all, and I'm glad I haven't watched Impact live in 5 weeks. It's bad right now.

So it's not just me? Maybe it is directly tied to WWE's crazy improvement out of nowhere, but I just can't get into TNA much atm :silva:

i think it's the fact that bfg is just so "random." They have been giving us a lot of BI, A double and Roode, but i think the last 3 weeks have had good matches/decent cards....and i think this thursday is going to be awesome. My only gripe is they keep pushing this MeM feud with aces and 8s...and will continue to do so until BFG (i hope at the latest)

To be fair the ko matches are greater than most of the squash wwe matches as of late, so i consider the divas match on wwe to be on calibur with how much attention i pay to the MeM angle.

I don't think he'd be a "credible Champion" regardless. Good X-division Champ, but WHC? Meh, I'm not sold.

In my opinion, Magnus is looking awesome in the BFG series and this whole year, but even Rampage would be a better face champion imo. I don't see Magnus as the TNA WHC. Maybe they want another guy to win the series because that would be something "outta nowhere"

Styles will make it onto top four of the BFG Series board, win the fatal 4-way bout to become no.1 contender, and, beat Sabin for the title at BFG redeeming his loss from last year. It's very predictable, but, it'll make for a good match as long as the MeM and the Aces and Eights stay out of it.

I agree about the stables, but lets see what happens. Styles winning the BFG series is really predictable so they may make Aries win it this year, but I don't really know who'll win. And how is that you can post here if you're not in this group? (at least you don't have the Deadman's Hand userbar...)

Sometimes the predictable route is the best route. Also, this is in the TNA section not the Deadman's Hand subforum.

I think I made this thread in the Deadman's Hand subforum... Not sure at all right now... I think an Aries vs Sabin title match would be better than Styles vs Sabin title match tbh. Then Aries wins the title, Sabin loses his rematch and Styles gets a #1 contenders match and wins the title. That would be better imo

Nano made this in the subforum (hence the "shitty title", it's fine in there) but the mods moved it out here once HQ discussion actually broke out.

AJ doesn't seem to be that over. His new character just isn't really clicking, and that's making it less predictable imo. Not to mention that the title's out of this stupid stable war you can't tell the story of lone wolf AJ rescuing the title from it. Well, unless Bully wins it back.

Small spoiler about the stipulation about the rematch:

Hogan's announcing this week that the rematch will be in a steel cage, with the Aces and Mafia banned from ringside.

BOUT TIME HOGAN, YOU COULDN'T DO THIS FOR THE LAST 15 MONTHS? FFS

I knew I made the thread in the subforum!

About the title rematch... Maybe TNA won't give Styles the title shot, but they can have some kind of match between AJ and an A&Es member with the following stipulation "if the A&Es member loses, the stable will disappear forever". I think that can be a good match tbh.

can Brooke hand Bully a hammer because she still loves him?
