Chris Sabin will be sidelined until 2012 after tearing both the ACL and MCL in his knee during a match last month on iMPACT!. He underwent surgery on his injured knee earlier this month.

Sabin suffered the injury during a match against Anarquia at the April 20 iMPACT! taping. He went for a springboard clothesline and tweaked his knee when the Mexican America member was out-of-position to receive the maneuver. The referee was instructed to end the match when it appeared Sabin was injured.

Sucks for Sabin, as he's a good wrestler who deserves to be in competition, making money. Hope he goes for a speedy recovery, and he's healthy soon.

Yeah, bad break, good luck to him in his recovery, and a speedy return.

Obviously sucks. Will provide a sink or swim situation for Shelley as he hasn't done anything other than tag with Sabin for the better part of two years.

Always bad news when a wrestler is out due to injury. Hopefully he heals up quickly and suffers no long term damage from it.

Might finally see a singles run from Shelley could he be the one to lead the X-Division or will they just pair him up with another wrestler?

Read on Impact last night Shelley is replacing an Injured Roode in Beer Money for a title defense at Slammiversary. So much for a singles run.

Wow that sucks big time. Both an ACL and MCL tear... ouch. Wonder what this means for Alex Shelly? Maybe he will break off to the X-Division, who knows but that does suck big time.

It seems like TNA has pigeonholed Shelley as a tag team wrestler, they have done the same to James Storm. Unfortunately TNA aren't willing to take a risk on singles runs for them even though TNA has enough other tag teams to keep the division strong without them.

I'm not entirely sure why they don't just let Shelley run free in the X Division.

Oh wait, what X Division?

There's your answer.
