That's pretty cool.

He lifted a tree out of the ground, that's some scary strength.

Way to go Masters

I still don't know how he got released. He was improving, then got released.

What a great guy, showed how much care he has for his family.

Guy had a ridiculous physique. I still wonder how he didn't get more popular in WWE. I know he had some Wellness policy violations, but that never stopped Randy Orton. I guess Masters just didn't have enough relatives to vouch for him.

You are way out of line.

....Ok maybe not that much. :side: I don't remember much of Masters other than the masterlock challenge shtick but he never really stood out to me as being unique like other wrestlers who are famous today like Cena, Orton and Punk.

He was a lot better in his second run than in his first.

I truly believe that of he was given the same opportunity/push in 2009/2010 that he was given in 2005/2006, he would've been a star because he was more equipped to handle it.

In all seriousness, Orton didn't exactly strike me as "unique" either when he first showed up aside from being Bob Orton's brat and Triple H's little experiment. Masters didn't have a particularly memorable gimmick and I always referred to him as "that Greek statue guy" when I couldn't remember his name, but he probably could have went a lot further if he was handled better. I'm dead certain he could have at least made it to Batista's level if he had a similar push that Evolution gave to he and Orton. Batista fucking sucked at everything and he was in Wrestlemania main events for god's sake.

I guess he could have been, and your argument about Batista is entirely valid.

We cannot exactly make a fair comparison of Orton and Masters though, Orton is a "third generation" superstar and that always seems to carry some market value.

Wiki said:
The Wrestling Observer reported that Vince McMahon only re-hired Masters in 2009 at the recommendation of Randy Orton.

Rated R Superstar - 08' to 11' was pretty much a haze of Randy Orton title reigns iirc.

Masters would have made a good member of "The Legacy" to be honest, even though I was not a big fan of the stable. Only good thing to come out of that whole debacle was the fans accepting that Orton would make for a decent face.

Wasn't that a good year for Orton? Wasn't he like the top guy or something?

The top heel. This was when the whole "Viper" gimmick really started picking up steam. Punted McMahon in the head, won the Royal Rumble. Had good feuds with Triple H, Batista, etc.

Only real blemish on Randy Orton's 2009 was the WrestleMania match against Hunter.

How does this guy not have a job in WWE? Ludicrous.
