Everyone here I am sure remembers there childhood, hell some of you still are kinda considered a child still being so young, but we can use this thread to talk about things from your childhood, rather if it was the music from then, the shows and cartoons, what kids did for fun back then, hell even talk about the foods you enjoyed from your childhood that you might not like as much now. This thread is to look back at the times we enjoyed in life and maybe just maybe become a child again even for just a second.

I use to love Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney back when I was a little kid. Back when you had shows like Doug, Rugrats, All That, Boy Meets World, Kenan and Kel, Johnny Bravo, Rocket Power, Cow and Chicken, among many more shows I enjoyed. One thing I really enjoyed was Figure It Out, this show had some talented kids who could do some amazing things and you had the celebrities from Nick shows as well as someone from outside of Nick. They came from the world of wrestling, they came from the world of music, and even some from the world of comedy, but it was one of my all time favorite shows on Nick back in the 90s. I really miss my childhood it was always amazing, always fun, going outside playing on my swing or my slide, I had this cool ass playhouse thing I never use right I'd flip that thing over so many times and get in that way it was crazy. God if I could go back to the 90s I'd do it in a heartbeat because them are the years I'd love to get back.

fond childhood memory: how everything popular inevitably got banned at school. See Yo-yo's, Pog's, Tazo's, Pokemon cards, tamagotchi's, everything.

I actually made a thread about shows we all watched younger and it was rather enjoyable , I commend you for taking it further.

Some of my favorites (not watching tv included for previously mentioned) that I actually remember , sadly not many would be playing street football and baseball never did play for school . And watching my lil brother start up his own little neighborhood summer jobs (raking yards , mowing , cleaning this and that) . It was very organized for a group of kids the oldest not more than 11 or 12 at the time .

I got more just got to think of them .

The one thing I remember the most is playing football and baseball. A lot of us kids would be outside together from 8 or 9 in the morning until about 10 at night during the summer. We would play football, sometimes in the street, sometimes at one of the schools. Baseball was played at one of the shitty diamonds at the park that hasn't been used much since. When it started to get dark we would play hide and go seek or kick the can until it was time to go in. The ages ranged anywhere from 10 to 17. It is sad for me that I don't see that anymore. It was some of the funnest times I have ever had in my life.

Saturday morning cartoons were awesome back then. I would get up at 6 in the morning to watch them all. MTV still showed music videos. The ninja turtles were of the mutant variety. I loved the power rangers.

When I wasn't drawing pokemon and dbz characters for my friends (for a small profit) or building gundam and zoid models, I was playing basketball and fooball in the street until the street lights came on and going to war at night shooting my friends with airisoft guns.

Good times

Sadly I haven't drawn since I got my first job. It's something that I regret, and I fully intend to rectify that.

Did any other UKers play a footy game called "Wembley", or was just something in my region?

 I don't recall that happening here, maybe it wasn't as bad but damn come on they didn't want you kids to have fun?

Ahh I need to check this thread out  I don't go over into tv land(i'm going to call the section with tv and movie stuff TV Land from now on k?) too often so I'll see what the chatter is there also

Back when I was a kid and other kids lived in the area I'd go out and play street hockey, football, baseball, and basketball with them as well as stay inside playing whatever the coolest lastest game out at the time was. Lately I seen more kids out again but at the same time we live in a world now where its not as safe for kids anymore as it use to be.

My grandparents had this camphouse on the Tombigbee river and we used to spend the summer down there. And this thing was probably 5 ft off where the ground should be, but sometimes we would have to drive a boat to it. I remember swimmin at the boat launch one day and scaring the ever loving shit out of this old lady acting like I was drowning lol I was a bit of a wild child, I'm from Alabama and the woodsy part. And we used to have trails cut through the woods where we would ride our bikes and there was an abandoned gravel pit and we would go build ramps and shit out there. We'd race down the dirtoad and shit. Great times. We found a cave, well I say we found it, but 100s of people had carved their names in the wall. We just didn't know it was there. I miss that shit man

TV wise TGIF was a big thing Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Full House, and Step by Step.

The thing I remember most though was riding bikes around town and listening to music the albums that stick out most in my mind that I listened to as a kid were Smashing Pumkins Melon Collie and Ininiate Sadness, Basically anything by Nirvana, Weezer's Blue Album, No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom, and most anything by Green Day (mostly Kerplunk).

I also played a lot of Deion Sanders' Prime Time Football.

This was one of my favorite movies of the 90's I remember my dad getting it for me the day it came out while I was at school. I got in the truck and it was in there and I was like "YES! go home now forget Burger King I want to watch this!" or some bs like that idk xD i was happy as hell to have the movie and I swear I watched it at least 4 or 5 times that week.

I would advise any young people in school who say they hate school to learn to fucking love it because you will hate life when you get out of school.

I used to always whine that I fucking hated school and my parents kept telling me 'you will miss it when you get older' and I was like 'nah, fuck that bullshit'.

They were 100% right.

Sure, sitting through boring shit like math and french sucked, but getting to hang out with your friends all day, not having to pay bills, not having to go to work with a bunch of fucking stupid blueberries, going home to watch cartoons, playing hooky......I wish I could go back in time and relive it all again.

I went to the mall yesterday and passed a school. It was the end of their day, kids everywhere, and I fucking envied the shit out of them. Their happy faces, hanging with their group of friends, knowing they could just do whatever they wanted with their friends for the rest of the afternoon in beautiful weather....

Work fucking sucks. School is awesome.

I know I wish I never dropped out :( I hate having nothing to do in the mornings, hell I can't even get a job so I don't even have that to do..life freaking sucks ass right now. I use to hate school but now it's like why did I ever drop out and stop going, I really need to do something to fix that mistake in my life.

I remember Nintendo was just starting to get pretty big in my area, yet that was one of those "it is raining, let's play video games" kind of things. Same when I was very young and had an atari.
