World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of WWE SmackDown Superstar Chavo Guerrero as of today, June 25, 2011. We wish Guerrero the best in all future endeavors.

I am insanely shocked, even though he was used as a jobber I really thought he was one of those guys who would stick around for a long time and help put people over.

Discuss.

So it actually turns out that Chavo asked for his WWE release. THis is from his Twitter page:

Yes, it's true. My release is the big news I was talking about. But let's get something straight. I asked for my release. I was just tired... Of not being used correctly. Just cuz u can make other ppl look good, doesn't mean they should just have u lose to them. The same thing... Happened to Eddie. After being champ, they still had him working mid card status. Being a Guerrero, we've been taught since diapers to get... The most out of ppl & matches. It's our gift, but also our curse. WWE has always used us to make other ppl look good. It all comes down to... Being happy. I was not happy in WWE anymore. I had a smile on my face last night though when I got my release though! :) now it's time for... For me to start being a Guerrero again, and start kicking ass again, be able to tell stories in the ring like u know we can. :) win or lose... I will never go back to the place WWE put me in. I will never go back to being under utilized and watching ppl who suck get bigger "pushes"... Than me! Thank u to all of u who stuck by me & kept reminding me, I was better than that! :) stay tuned.. Big things coming!! Now I will... Really be able to entertain u! :) like me or hate me, 1 thing I have always tried to do is entertain u and give u fans your $ worth. Even if... My hands were tied most of the time. I love u all and can't wait for the future!! So happy. :)

Here is what else he has said about half an hour after the above statement

I know it may sound like it, but I've got no hard feelings toward the WWE. I've just been unhappy there for a long time & if you have... Watched the show, u will no why. I made a lot of money, but I'm better than just cashing a paycheck. I wish no hard feelings toward the WWE&... Want to see them and all my friends there succeed! I love wrestling & want nothing but wrestling to get better & bigger. U fans deserve... Nothing but a great show and great stories& athleticism for staying so true to wrestling. It's in my blood & always will be. :)

So there we go. In a nutshell, Chavo Guerrero has been unhappy for quite some time and he has asked for his release.

Should have happened a long time ago.

Chavo should be interesting to see if he indeed winds up in TNA in 90 days. If Mexican America is still around by then, you can probably bet on seeing him in that faction.

I'd love to see him replace Anarquia, who in my mind is boring as hell, but we'll see.

I don't see him doing that kind of swerve to the WWE. He'd been there how long if he wanted to go to TNA he had plenty of time to jump over, wasn't his dad over there for a bit would have made more sense to do so then. I believe he's probably saved his money wisely and will go home and chillax.

Not his dad, it was Hector.

Anyways, I don't know what Chavo is expecting to be on the card. He is too short and not flashy enough to be considered in the place that Rey Mysterio is. Two strikes for Chavo.

Another could be his apparent markish attitude he has for himself and his family.

Would've thought he was going to become an agent and be a lifer. Well if he wasn't happy there, I commend him for leaving. Not many people would do that.

Yeah this does suprise me, I got the impression he would be with the company long term, in some role or the other. Still fair play on his decission to leave with not being happy there, will be intertesting to see what his next move is.

I had expected him to be a lifer, moving behind the scenes in the coming years. If he isn't happy then good on him for leaving I am sure WWE wouldn't have minded that much since they weren't going to use him in a prominent role.

Maybe he will go to Mexico and wrestle there? I can't see ROH being an option and I don't think he will go to TNA.

Why don't you see him going to TNA?

Also, why didn't he put in this request years ago when he was stuck facing Hornswoggle on a weekly basis? He waits until after he gets a PPV match?

I also think it's important to consider that when reviewing what he said about WWE pushing talentless guys over him. Was he specifically referring to Sin Cara? Might there be a bit of a jealousy factor involved here?

I'm beginning to think he was just cut and he is just giving lip service to people.

Not like the company is going to confront him about it. He would be a bad investment for any company, he is short and boring and has a receding hairline. He's stealing Malenko's gimmick.

I don't see him going to TNA because I can't see TNA wanting him. He isn't a big star and he is an older guy, he would only be used as an agent behind the scenes and so there isn't much point in TNA bringing him in as he won't add anything to the product. He is a filler guy on the roster who can wrestle and get younger guys over.

Their previous signings are either big names from the nineties or young guys that were part of WWE. Chavo fits neither of those categories.

I still don't see that stopping TNA from signing Chavo though, its just that it wouldn't be for the normal reasons that they sign an EX-WWE talent. Weather he would go there is up for debate, if they offered him enough money, then I think he might.
