I'm just glad I learned a few years ago that it's better to have one or two people that really care about you than a bunch of people who barely know you

I basically had this long introspective sit down with myself and just thought about everyone I knew or talked to on a regular basis

and I just thought things like why do I talk to this person? how well do I know them/they know me? how much do I care about them or do they care about me? what have they done purposely that negatively affected me

yep, I cut out a lot of people for a lot of reasons. that was pretty prevalent

I got taken advantage of a lot just because I was too nice to say no, I guess I just wanted people to like me so I would go out of my way to do things for them or give them stuff

I think most introverts attract extroverts who like to use people because it is easy for them to use someone who isn't fighting for attention with them, if that makes sense
