Calling Christian bland then going on to say Mordecai could of been something is just stupid, sorry. Christian could of actually been a star in 2005 because he was mad popular and delivering some of the best promos and matches in the biz.

Couldn't have said it better. Christian was over huge in 2005, it was a damn shame that they never truly pushed him.

In some cases, a guy can get pegged early as a good hand but not a top guy, even if he develops and grows. I also think in a lot of cases, there are behind the scenes things that have little to do with politics and more with either health or conduct issues that make the WWE reluctant to do much of anything with a character that has potential. If someone has the wrong attitude, he probably better have Austin level talent to make up for that shortcoming if he wants to move forward.

When Fat Hardy started making noise all over the interwebs about being unhappy with his spot in the company, they weren't in any hurry to talk him into a new contract or push him any further. Maybe the Zack Ryder character has more potential, but probably not a great deal more. The guy himself isn't showing himself to be superbly talented. Whining on Twitter is just going to derail all the good he did last year.

I think Mr. Perfect could have been bigger, but i don't think it was so much a waste. The guy had chronic back issues. Bret Hart mentioned how the guy was in sheer pain when the two had that big intercontinental title match that was one of the classics of that time.

Not necessarily the WWE wasting a character as much as circumstances or some of the boys being their own worst enemies.

I will follow that up by saying that whatever the circumstances were, it was a damn shame that The Man's Man gimmick Regal had during the Attitude Era didn't last.

Obviously you aren't seeing the difference between a character and a person.

To be honest, I don't think you're seeing the difference between a character and a person.

Christian may not have had an over-the-top gimmick, but that doesn't mean he wasn't playing a character. He wasn't exactly rapping outside the ring with Tomko following him around wherever he went.

I agree that Christian could have become something more. Back then he was over a lot with the crowd, and was consistently good in the ring. I do wonder what might have happened to him if he stuck around a bit longer and didn't go to TNA, because at that time he was just as entertaining as Edge.

Honestly, I don't think anything changes. He still goes to TNA instead he gets released eventually instead of willingly leaving.

Going to TNA was the best thing he could have ever done. It really let him be a big fish in a small pond and really establish himself. No way Christian has a single WHC run without that TNA stint. Also, the TNA stint wouldn't have been as significant because as I said, I think he gets released eventually so he's not seen as the guy who willingly left the WWE to come to TNA.

DDP is definitely a big one here. I'd say Mike Awesome because they did have him win the Hardcore Title and start the Invasion angle and then I don't think we ever really saw him again. For some reason I've always found Kerwin White entertaining so I'll say Chavo doing that as well.

Guess wrestlers and characters are different, but will group them together for this.

Shelton Benjamin
Val Venus (in his 98-00 prime)
Arn Anderson (at least should have made the Brain Busters a bigger team)
DDP
Rick Rude (yeah I know he was one of the 80s hottest heels and featured strongly in feuds with the Warrior, Jake etc, but the guy still should have had at least one run on top and feud with Hogan).
Rick Martel
Molly Holly
Marc Mero

would've, could've, should've.....lmao. basically what all these threads are about. Certain names on here can be explained.

Marcus Cor Von: He was being built up for Bobby Lashley, but his sister died and he started looking after her kids, obviously real life is more important than playing an alpha male from the serengeti.

Sean O-Haire: He thought he was toguh, and would pick fights with marks, really stupid, if you want to work for a publicly traded company, who only wants people who do business and not get into brawls with fans.

Kevin thorn: He just sucked, he couldn't work a decent match, and was carried by everyone he put in with, he talked about spots too loud in the ring, and was clumsy as fuck.

There are lots of people on here, they constantly tried to push, but they didn't click.

Personally I thought they missed the ball on the Divas of Doom angle they started and did nothing with. If I remember rightly it was around the time Punk dropped the pipebomb and it could have been an interesting angle to run with to spark some life into an almost dead division.

Nattalya is definitely a person who has been wasted her entire run, she was given lame gimmicks and relegated to nothing more than a Beth Phoenix underling, and now a valet for gimmicks. Like a Luna Vachon for Oddities or something. She could totally anchor that womens division, and help make a ton of divas. But alas, somebody doesn't feel the same way.
