* The X Division now has a weight limit of 230 lbs.
* All X Division matches will now be three-man matches

Alright they increased the weight limit by 5 pounds and eliminated singles matches. What's the point in this?

This is half good news. I thrilled they have finally made a stance on the weight limit and I like 230.

However what are they thinking making all X Division matches three-ways?

TNA is going to need to make the TV mean something again because the X title can't be the secondary championship anymore.

The triple threat rule is one of the most out there things I've ever seen. It could be good, but who thought of that? When did this idea dawn on them?

So basically, it's not even gonna bother with characters etc. and just become "the spotfest division"?

That'll get boring real quick. Luckily, a lot of TNA's ideas don't tend to stick for too long.

I sorta like the three way thing, but I thought it was all the X-Division Matches would be triple threat for the title? so that means the X-Division title will be on the line a lot, the matches could be pretty good, and hopefully X-Division stars of the past return for matches, possibly a good Ultimate X match with some of the top X-Division stars. I for one think it will be quite enjoyable

That is pretty much what I was thinking. The division will just become a spot fest now. Since they do have the TV title I have no problems with a weight limit for the x division.

How many times can they do triple threat matches? I like singles matches once in a while, it involves more storytelling between two rivals

I mean i like the triple threat matches but how compelling with they get with feuds and it would get pretty boring. Just like if the WHC matches were all fatal fourways all the time.

The idea that any given time there would be three guys that weight 230 lbs or less that have a legit issue with each other is quite unlikely. Something tells me the X Division won't be too storyline fueled from this point forward.

^I concur. It may just be a time filler from here on out until something else changes. The X Division certainly isn't what it was in 2005-06.

I'm not bothered by the three way thing. It's more exciting and I enjoyed the Kenny King vs Sonjay Dutt vs Zema Ion on Thursday. However, I am not a fan with the weight increase. Did heavyweights' weight class go up too? Heavyweights use to have to be 225 or was that only in WWE? When I thought about the x-division, I thought about my smaller athletes. The x-division was my cruiserweight division. I loved the way they fly. Somebody 230 doesn't really seem like a high-flyer to me, even though there are a few, but that's my stance on it. Why?

The weight limit was already 220, but they weren't even enforcing it. Samoa Joe even challenged for it last year.

I don't see 230 being too much of a difference. I mean WWE even used that weight limit on their Light Heavyweight Championship (1997-2001).

I'm just glad they actually will be mandating the limit being strictly adhered to this time.

I just hope they elevate the TV title as a proper secondary heavyweight championship now.

Amazing Red, Kazarian, AJ Styles, Daniels, Zema Ion, Kenny King, Jay Lethal, and the Guns were only a few x-division stars I love watching. These stars have helped the x-division shine and I hope TNA can regain what they recently lost. Like many have said, the x-division is simply not the same. I liked TNA for their x-division, knockouts, and tag team divisions, but they have started showing less and less attention to them. The knockouts and tag team divisions are about equal to WWE when they were better! I don't know what TNA writers are smoking or if they are former WWE writers, but these divisions need to be restored. I am sorry for bringing up the knockouts and tag teams divisions in the post.

The problem is Bruce Prichard.

Most people heralded him as the guy who would save TNA, but they didn't seem to realize how much of the problem he was in why women's wrestling and tag team wrestling got deemphasized. And I'd have to take a guess that he wasn't a fan of the X Division either.

I don't know where TNA goes from here, but this seems to be the fate of the X Division now.

We can at least pray the KOs and Tag Teams can revitalize themselves.
