Straight of the MMA news section...

The man who pulverized UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 117 this past August for two-and-a-half rounds before getting submitted now wants a piece of Michael “The Count†Bisping.

Following Bisping’s (21-3) TKO victory over Jorge Rivera at UFC 127, and his subsequent spitting incident, MMA Weekly obtained the following email top middleweight contender Chael Sonnen sent to UFC matchmaker Joe Silva:

To: Joe Silva, Matchmaker Extraordinaire, Ultimate Fighting Championship
Re: Spitsbing & his tainted victory

Joe:

If you get a chance to talk with him, please mention to your idiot-in-residence Michael Spitsbing it’ll be a little tougher to knee ME in the head when I’m charging at him like a runaway train and mincing him through the fence like a boiled potato, should we ever have the pleasure of each other’s company for a few (VERY few) moments in the Octagon.

Oh; and I’d suggest to him being a little careful about spitting on any of MY cornermen, since any one of them can beat him up as badly as I can. Thanks ever so much.
Hope all is well.

-Chael Sonnen

If Rivera was able to get under Bisping’s skin with his smack talk and mocking videos, can one even imagine what Sonnen (25-11-1) is going to do to him? This could get ugly.

Make it happen Joe Silva!

So what do you guys think? Could this be Chael's return fight? Who you got winning this fight?

This fight would definitely have a lot of shit-talking going into it. Bisping has already called Sonnen a f**, and only god knows what Sonnen would say. I say Chael would dominate him off his back, but it would be a fight with a lot of hype going into it. What do you guys think?

Sonnen would probably outwrestle Bisping to a unanimous decision. Though if Bisping is capable of keeping the fight standing for 2/3 rounds, he'll outstrike Sonnen. All depends on the takedowns.

Seriously though, is there anybody in the UFC Sonnen hasn't called out?

Sonnen's six months are almost over, can't believe it's gone by this fast.

Story sounds like another fake Sonnen story, but I hope not. Seems alot of people think trolling as Sonnen is the cool thing to do. I still don't care much for Sonnen, since I didn't like him getting a title shot for shit talk. Since it's pretty much opened the floodgates for anyone to do the same, and Rivera was a prime example of it.

Bisping never beats top competition, and would lose again. Vitor called him out, Sonnen apparently now. Seems like MMA is mirroring boxing now, I don't like where it's heading. Sometimes the sportsmen in sports is still better than assholes.

So Sonnen calls Bispings victory tainted what does he think about his own performance against Silva then where he had to take PED's and still couldn't win? I want Bisping to fight a contender again just to see where he is at in the division since normally he is one who can't beat the top contenders but can defeat the rest. Sonnen will be lucky to get such a high profile fight for his return fight since he just came back from cheating. Belfort vs Bisping would be an interesting match-up and would be a huge test for Bisping.

Very true. Though I couldn't see Bisping winning.

Bisping's main strength seems to be picking guys off whilst standing. He works his way to a decision without taking much damage.

His biggest weakness is guys with heavy, fast hands. Belfort is all about this.

I think Belfort would outstrike Bisping and probably knock him out. Wandy nearly did, and I could see Belfort rushing Bisping in the same way.

Obviously, Bisping can complete takedowns, but it remains to be seen whether he can incorporate that into a winning gameplan.

Yeah Belfort would most likely win a fight between them since he has incredible striking power but Bisping has improved and he showed that against Rivera even before that illegal knee. His striking has let him down in previous fights but it seems he has found that power again and he can take a punch to the chin. Bisping would have to improve a lot but all he has to do is learn a front kick and he can take down Belfort :p

Sure it helps build up fights, but it also means the better fighters who can't trashtalk get pushed aside for clowns. Mark Bocek didn't get any press until he called out George Sotiropoulos Snuffleupagus. And yet a journeyman named Chael Sonnen is all of a sudden a title contender because he talked shit about the best fighter in the world? How does that make sense in a combat sport where the whole concept was based on proving who is the better fighter.

I've been a Hendo fan since UFC 17, seeing him knock out anyone is a treat, plus I liked it better when he used that same combination on Wanderlei in Pride.

isn't Sonnen suspended for the rest of the year?

Chael's 6 month suspension is almost up, and although Dana suspended his contract, it was just to get his personal life back together. So if he's calling guys out, I say his persnal life is alright at the moment.
