you've literally tried to imply he panicked and changed his claimed usage to a teammate when he was asked a question. how have I managed to pre-empt that and hint at recieving the gift before he even claimed?

This makes me cautious about putting too much stock in to the CP botch. Big Man has a point here.

He's not reading the thread, offered sweet fuck all, and his claim to me doesn't marry up as town given we have Haza's role.

Wang is almost certainly town, it would be serious bastard modding if he wasn't since I was literally told his character's name (Charlotte Aulin) as part of my role PM and told that we are going off together to deal with Dracula.

See my previous post. There's just no rational logic behind either of us being non-town to the other given the PMs we got (well, I assume he got one similar to me, and mine makes it clear in all but official wording that Wang is town).
