That's why I was saying they do have enough time left in production to change what they've already filmed.

Or they could wait until episode IX and open with her funeral.

I doubt they're gonna change anything out of respect for her. They're probably just gonna mention her death in passing in episode IX

You never know. They have to what they have to do to get their story where they to for IX.

If they're going to wait for IX to address it, I'd open with her funeral or do it right after the opening credits.

Like you said they could simply have a funeral. I can't imagine keeping her scenes the way they are in VIII will severely impact IX but I guess we'll see.

I am gutted. Going on a star wars marathon and a couple other movies she was in. This hurts worse than anyone else this year.
