Chris Benoit (c) vs HHH

Backstory -

Chris Benoit was on Smackdown from 2002 until most of 2003 but in the late of 2003 Paul Heyman the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown said to Chris Benoit as long as Brock Lesnar is the champion and as long as I am the General Manager there will never ever be a title shot for you in the future. Chris Benoit than earned himself a spot into the Royal Rumble of 2004 by teaming up with John Cena in a Smackdown episode before the Rumble event. Him and Cena beat the FBI "Full Blooded Italians" and both him and Cena quilified to the Rumble event in 2004. Paul heyman can't deny him a spot in the Rumble not but he can sure make it harder for him to win it. Paul heyman announced that Chris Benoit would be the number one entry into the Royal Rumble. He was up against Randy Orton the second entry and lasted until the end eliminating the Big Show at the end of the Royal Rumble. In an amazing show of events Chris Benoit had won the 2004 Royal Rumble. Chris Benoit has had enough with Smackdown and new as long as Paul was there he would be cheated out of nearly ever chance he would get to fight the champion even at Wrestle Mania the biggest stage of them all, Meanwhile on the Raw side of things HHH and his long time rival and best friend HBK were at it at the Royal Rumble ending it in a double draw in the LMS match there was no clear winner. Chris Benoit jumped a loop hole and challenged HHH for the title at Wrestle Mania but seeing as HBK and HHH feud was not over and there was no clear winner he would be added into the match making the main event of Wrestle Mania a triple threat match.

Chris Benoit last night had won the World Heavyweight Championship in the triple threat match between him and HHH the champion at the time and HBK Shawn Michaels, HHH lost the championship to Chris Benoit when Chris Benoit reversed a Pedigree into a Crippler Crossface and than had HHH right where he wanted him far from the ropes HHH tapped out in the Main Event of Wrestle Mania. It was so embarresing for HHH, he almost instantly on wwe.com announced after WM XX that he would be cashing in his rematch clause against Chris Benoit and be challenging him for the title in the Main Event of that Raw one night after. Both men battered and bruised after Wrestle Mania XX, who will win. Will HHH retain his title and become a ten time champ or will Chris Benoit make HHH tap out once more ? Also where will HBK be in this encounter ?

As the bell rings and the match begins these two icons of today circle the ring a few times and the crowd really gets into this match not sure who to cheer for, there is a mixed reaction from the crowd. JR and King call this one on one contest on monday night raw as these two lock up. Chris Benoit gets away from the lock up with HHH and than start to chop at him with this knife hands chops, choping him back into the corner. Chis Benoit than throws him into the opposite corner and throws him hard with all of his force hard Irish whipping him into the corner, HHH falls down in pain from hitting the corner with his back. Chris Benoit gets up to his feet after using all of his power to Irish Whip HHH into the corner. Benoit than picks up HHH and than chops him back into the corner that he was thrown into but HHH in the corner reverses the position and than turns Benoit around and makes him in the corner. HHH with Benoit in the corner starts to pumble him with hard right and left haymakers to the upper body and jaw area. HHH than grabs Chris's arm and pulls him forward a few steps and than throws him at the ropes. HHH leans forward aiming to send Benoit flying with a Back Body Drop but Chris Benoit puts the breaks on and reverses it into a swinging neck breaker on HHH, Chris Benoit the champion goes for the first pin cover in this match up but HHH kicks out before the count of two. HHH than gets lifted up to his feet by Chris Benoit, Chris Benoit than throws HHH at the ropes but HHH reverses it and throws Chris Benoit at the ropes, on the rebound Chris Benoit "cross armed" shoulder blocked him down and than ran at the opposite ropes as HHH jumped up to his feet, Chris Benoit on the rebound this time got nailed in the head with a high Harley Race knee to the face knocking Chris Benot over. HHH than runs at the ropes and than slowly puts the breaks on and than falls down on Chris Benoit with his knee in place, he hits his knee in the face of Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit than rolls around the ring in pain holding his head only for a moment. Not long after he tries to use the ropes as leverage to help him back up to his feet and up to a vertical base but HHH runs at him from behind and than chop blocks him "spear from the back of the leg" making him fall back over near the ropes. HHH grabs that very same leg and drags him to the center of the ring, he hooks that leg for a quick pin fall but Chris Benoit kicks out at the count of 1.

King: Chris hurt his leg by the looks of it, he can't continue end the match.

JR: That won't stop him, he is the Champion and he worked his ass of for 16 years to get to this point through ECW and WCW and JAPAN wrestling HHH will need to do more than that to pin Chris Benoit.

King: But thats why he is a bad Champion I mean HHH didn't take that long to become a champion because he is better than Chris Benoit. I think that Benoit should give up before he gets nailed with the pedigree if he knows whats good for him.

JR: You should hope that Benoit didn't hear you say that.

HHH than picks Chris Benoit up to his feet by the arm and than once Benoit was up on his feet HHH goes to clothesline him down by pulling Chris Benoit towards HHH by the arm he is holding but Chris Benoit ducks underneath the arm of HHH before he could hit the clothesline on him and Chris Benoit behind HHH now than hits his patented German Suplex manouver. Chris Benoit hits one of them and than still clenching his hands around the weist of HHH he goes for another one but HHH holds onto the top rope and doesn't let Chris Benoit do the move on him. Chris Benoit than lets go and decides to club his fists hard into the back of the game HHH. Chris than goes for a German Suplex once more but HHH sticks his head and half of his body towards the outside of the ring holding onto the ropes the referee must let HHH get out of the ropes and Benoit must move back. When Benoit goes on to the attack afterwards HHH pokes him in the eye and than grabs his head and takes him into the corner of the ring and hits his head on the top turnbuckle in the corner of the ring. After two times in the head Chris Benoit elbows HHH in the gut and stops the third one, Chris than grabs HHH and puts him in the corner and continues to chop away at his chest which is begining to get red at this time in the match up. Chris Benoit than gets turned around as HHH now has him in the corner, HHH puts Chris Benoit up on the top rope and starts to throw right hands at him sitting up on the top turnbuckle in the corner of the ring. HHH than goes on the second rope up there with him and he goes to nail him with a super plex but Chris Benoit holds onto the top rope for leverage and does not let him do it, Benoit than headbuts HHH a few times and makes him groggy. HHH than falls back down to the mat and than on his back Chris Benoit has him in the position he wants him to be in. Chris than leaps into the air and goes for the flying headbut on HHH but HHH moves out of the way and Chris hurts his head as he heabuts nothing but canvas. Chris rolls around the ring in pain as HHH moves up to his feet.

King: This match is over. HHH shuld be anounced the winner right now.

JR: The match is still going King,

King: What do you know about wrestling ? You have never been in the ring.

HHH is leaning against the ropes and rasises his hand in victory as he thinks he has the match won. The referee begins to count Chris Benoit out. 1.....2....3....4....5.....6....7....8, but at this time Chris had gotten to one knee and HHH had ran at the ropes and had gone to knock him back over but Benoit drop toe holded him (triped him over) and has him on his stomach flat now. Chris goes to lock in the deadly submission hold finisher known as the crippler crossface which made HHH tap out even as of last night not even 24hours ago that move is the last thing HHH wants to be locked into. Chris is trying to lock in the move but after falling on his back from the top turnbuckle in the corner of the ring earlier in the match he is near the ropes and HHH quickly squirms into the ropes and holds onto them in the feetle position.

King: Look how smart of a mat technition is the game thats why he is so good.

Chris Benoit goes to stomp on him kicking him in the gut and lower back as he cowers in the ropes. Chris than gets yelled at by the referee as he makes a five count for which if Benoit doesn't stop by than he is DQ"d, Chris Benoit lets go at the count of four and than runs at the ropes. Chris Benoit than base ball slides (sliding dropkick sorta) at HHH and sends him under the bottom rope and to the outside of the ring. Chris leaves the ring to go out after him as the referee begins to count them out. Chris picks HHH up and than goes to throw him at the steel "unforgiving" ring steps but HHH puts the breaks on and than Chris Benoit is sent flying over the steel steps by HHH and hits his knee on him. The very same knee that Benoit was chop blocked on earlier in the match. HHH picks Benoit up and rolls into the ring to strop the count with him (benoit). HHH pulls him to the middle of the ring and goes to lock him into the Figure Four Leg Lock but as he turns the leg around Chris Benoit kicks him away at the ropes. On the rebound Benoit hits a back body drop on HHH and goes for the pin fall on him but HHH kicks out at a count of two and a half just before the count of three. Chris leaves the ring and groggily with one bad knee goes up to the top rope once more, one he is up on the top turnbuckle. Chris Benoit goes to hit the flying headbut on him once more but HHH moves out of the way and he accidently hits the referee on his way down knocking him over. With the referee down HHH gets up to his feet and lifts up Benoit, HHH goes to hit him in the pedigree but Chris reverses it by holding the arm of HHH and turning him around into the Cross Face positoin just like he reversed it at the end of Wrestle Mania XX last night. HHH is locked tight in it far from the ropes and the referee is knocked out. HHH has no where to go but to tap out.

Jr: He is tapping king he taped out.

King: But it doesn't matter the referee isn't here to see it.

But there was no referee to see it and with no referee the match is still going on. HBK comes in through the crowd and than kicks Benoit in the back and gets him out of the Cross Face position looks like he still has some unfinished business to do with HHH, He than lifts Benoit up and than goes to Super kick him in the middle of the ring but Chris ducks out of it and than behind HBK he hits him with a release German Suplex sending him to the other end of the ring. HBK rolls out of the ring in pain and Chris goes right back on the Game HHH for another Cross Face. HHH goes to tap out once more but moments later HBK rolls back into the ring and smashes Chris in the head with his very own World Championship belt. Chris is bleeding from the head at this time and HBK runs away through the crowd with some boo's. HHH at this time rolls his arm over Chris and moments later the referee regains conciousness and looks at him he begins to count.

JR: No not this way not this way..

1..........2.........3!!!

King: Looks like he only had a one day title reign....I still think that it is one day too many.

Roxxxi and Rydog win their respective encounters. Both did an excellent job both of building up to their matches (Roxxxi especially) and both delivered incredible action packed matches.

Matt Hardy Vs. The Great Muta

BTB Match Writing Tournament

D2 Vs. E2

Backstory:

After being drafted to the land of Extreme, Matt Hardy was prepared to partake in practically carrying the ECW Brand on his own shoulders. Without so much of a large lineup of big named stars, this was Matt Hardy's chnace to finally prove himself of Main Event worthy status. He had some major road blocks to overcome however, namely, Mark Henry. Upon dropping the United States championship to Elijah Burke at The Great American Bash, Matt Hardy was poised to take on Mark Henry for the ECW Championship at Summerslam.

But someone had other plans.

During their epic confrontation, with Matt Hardy seemingly ready to take his rightful place in the annals of wrestling history as a World Champion, something unexpected happened.

Just as Matt Hardy was about to finish Mark Henry off with his patented Twist of Fate Trademark Manuever, a mysteriously masked man to most American viewers arrived on the scene and brutally struck Matt Hardy in the forehead with an ice pick. But to those who hadn't been buried by the WWE mantra for years knew exactly who this was, and were nevertheless shocked by the appearance of The Great Muta in a WWE ring. The assault continued as Great Muta battered the man who would not die and left him in a pool of his own blood, granting him the match via Disqualification, but at a price of Mark Henry retaining the title.

His dreams vanished behind the veil of a crimson mask, Matt Hardy was hellbent on revenge. As it had turned out, Vince McMahon had made an exclusive deal with the promotions of All Japan and New Japan allowing Muta to free up his touring schedule in order to help bring in ratings to the WWE. Needless to say, this cost alot of money, and Vince McMahon did not want to waste such opportunities on someone as untested as Matt Hardy.

But life would still not be so simple for Vince McMahon and The Great Muta. It on with the weeks leading up to the amply named pay per view, Unforgiven, that Vince McMahon had attempted to make his money's worth out of The Great Muta. Pitting him up against some of his more popular superstars in weekly "Dream Matches". It was Matt Hardy however, who repeatedly ruined these encounters by running to the ring, and predictably getting escorted out of the arenas by security.

Finally, the WWE Chairman had had enough. He agreed to allow Matt Hardy to face The Great Muta at Unforgiven, under the understanding that if Matt Hardy could not defeat Muta, then he would be suspended indefinitely from the company until the WWE were able to collect enough of his pay checks to pay off the difference of losing the value of McMahons previous Great Muta matches on RAW and Smackdown's prior.

And so, with his chance for ultimate vengeance on the horizon, can Matt Hardy overcome the enigma that is Muta? Or is the Japanese legend too crafty and simply too dangerous even for Version 1 to handle?

WWE Presents: Unforgiven
Matt Hardy Vs. The Great Muta

Jim Ross:
Ladies and gentlemen what a night is has been here at Unforgiven! We have had some incredible contests, but i don't think there is a single match up tonight that is more personal and more emotional, than what we are about to witness right here.

Jerry Lawler:
I have to agree with you on that one JR! The Great Muta, live on Pay Per View with the WWE!

Jim Ross:
It all started when Muta interfered in the ECW World Title Match last month at Summerslam, and ever since Matt Hardy has been itching for this chance to get some pay back!

Jerry Lawler:
Matt Hardy is just a sore loser. He didn't keep his eyes open when it counted, and Muta almost plucked them right out of his sockets, haha! Muta is gonna teach Matt Hardy what happens when you don't wait your turn and disrespect the boss, let alone a legend like him!

Ding Ding Ding!

With both competitors in the ring, Matt Hardy immediately charges into the corner towards The Great Muta, who wisely slips himself in between the ropes forcing the referee to step in the middle of the two superstars and the fans in attendance boo voraciously at this initial act of cowardice on behalf of The Great Muta. Matt Hardy is still trying to get a crack at his temporary nemesis, but Muta slyly jams his thumb to the throat of Hardy and causes him to stumble sideways due to the choking effect of the strike. The fans continue to boo as Muta delivers a bionic elbow to the top of the head of Matt Hardy, and then then transitions into a side headlock, spitting green mist over the ropes mocking the audience reaction to his tactics.

Jim Ross:
Are you seeing this King? The man runs away like a scalded dog in the ropes, and then lands a cheap shot on Matt Hardy to gain the advantage!

Jerry Lawler:
That's what you get when you are overzealous JR. Hardy should have known better to pace himself instead of going straight after a guy as crafty as The Great Muta.

Muta continues to grind away at the ears and neck of the man who will not die, before throwing him unceremoniously into the turnbuckle and climbing to a mount position, attempting to rain down strikes onto his opponent. But Matt Hardy, in a moment of wisdom is able to slip under his opponent and pull down the legs of Muta causing him to come crashing down face first on the turnbuckle. The fans roar in approval as Matt now begins to stomp a mud hole straight into his foe with hatred in his eyes, the kicks becoming faster and faster until he lifts Muta up again and runs from the corner planting his opponent with a picture perfect bulldog!

Jerry Lawler:
He can't do that, he's using exessive force!

Jim Ross:
Better to use exessive force than seeing Muta using exessive dirty tactics.

Matt Hardy now climbs up to another turnbuckle, putting himself in a seated position on the top rope, legs on the middle. He stands himself up and taunts to the crowd with his V1 hand signals, and then flies through the air, looking to drop Muta with a patented leg drop but no! The Great Muta able to escape at the last second, and Matt Hardy lands bad on his right thigh. He attempts to limp back to a standing position but the catlike Muta is able to run against the ropes and hits a Shining Wizard across the face of Hardy! Great Muta goes for a cover.

One....
Two....
Kickout!

Muta will not be denied however as he grabs Matt by a thick mane of hair and throws him back into the corner, smashing his head against the turnbuckle. He begins to unload with some vicious chops to the chest, before Matt Hardy starts to get that fire burning in his eyes once again, and dares Muta to hit him! The fans are going wild, only fueling the adrenaline rush flowing through their hero now, as Muta goes for an overhand punch, which Matt Hardy responds with a strike of his own! Chop by Muta, and counter attacked with a stiff forearm across the face! Faster and quicker is Hardy as he begins to unload onto Muta with heavy strikes, before the Black Ninja is able to deliver a sickening back kick to the right leg of Hardy, causing him to fall to the mat, much to the chagrin of the fans.

Jerry Lawler:
Haha! If you can't beat em in the stand up, take em down a knotch or two!

Jim Ross:
What he's doing is taking advantage of an unfortunate situation with Matt Hardy's injured leg. Ever the opportunist, Great Muta will find any way he can to win.

Muta now takes a hold of the damage leg, and whips it opposite of Matt's body, forcing him to scream out in pain. Muta places the appendage on the bottom rope, and viciously springboards himself up and back down against with incredible force upon Matt Hardy's leg. Sensing defeat, The Great Muta drags Hardy to the center of the ring, and applies the Muta Lock! The fans all clamor to the aid of Matt Hardy, cheering him on as the move is firmly applied.

Jim Ross:
I am not sure what the benefit of this specific submission hold will be after all that work on the leg, but it is effective none the less!

Jerry Lawler:
With injured legs, Matt Hardy's not in any condition to try and crawl his way to the ropes, he's just in too much pain!

Indeed the hold seems to be irreversibly applied to V1, who can only scream in excruciating pain at the damage that is being ravaged across his body by The Great Muta. And yet, despite all of the pain, Matt Hardy is still faithfully holding on tight, refusing to tap out, and refusing to submit to the pain. Eventually, Great Muta grows tired of the hold and with his frustration of failure, Muta releases the hold and begins to stomp viciously on the head and arms of Matt Hardy. He crawls outside of the ring, and looks to be grabbing some sort of foreign object.

Jim Ross:
What in the world is he doing now?!

Jerry Lawler:
He's just grabbed that same Ice Pick he used against Matt Hardy last month at Summerslam! He's going to bust him wide open!

Great Muta now slinks back into the ring like a venomous serpent, stalking his foe. The referee steps in however, reminding Muta that this is not a No Disqualification match, only to become struck by The Great Muta right between the eyes for his efforts!

Jerry Lawler:
Ah!! The Great Muta just knocked out the referee!

Jim Ross:
What a despicable human being, is that man right there!

The Great Muta, now without distractions holding him back, rears up and charges at his opponent, but Matt Hardy is able to scout the manuever, and rolls through! He comes back, kicking Muta in the stomach, and delivers a Twist Of Fate! Matt Hardy with the Twist Of Fate on Muta!

Jim Ross:
Yes, this could be all!

Jerry Lawler:
But there is no referee!

Indeed it is true, Matt Hardy hooks the leg of Muta, as the fans count in excitement all the way to a seven count before another official finally sprints down to the ring and administers a count.

One.....
Two....
thre----Kickout!!!

Jim Ross:
No way! Bah Gawd what a match!

Jerry Lawler:
I don't believe it JR!

Matt Hardy now looks to the audience as if searching for an answer. What is it that Matt is going to have to do in order to put Muta away? It is just then that Matt Hardy's eyes creep over to the Ice Pick laying next to the prone body of The Great Muta. A wicked smile etches itself across the lips of V1 as he reaches out for the Pick and prepares to use it in the ultimate form of poetic justice. Unfortunately, the referee steps in once again and takes the foreign object away from Matt Hardy, who turns around just in time to receive Green Mist to the eyes!

Jerry Lawler:
Ah! Green Mist! Great Muta just used the Green Mist JR!

Jim Ross:
God damn Muta! Don't let it end this way!

Great Muta springs back up to his feet and delivers an inverted atomic drop to Matt Hardy, running off the ropes and connecting with a second Shining Wizard kick, forcing Matt Hardy back to the mat. The referees attention returns to the match just in time for Great Muta to ascend the top rope and execute the Rounding Body Press! The referee now gets into pinning position.

One....
Two.....
Three!!!!!!!!!!!

Ding Ding Ding!

Lilian Garcia:
Here is your winner, The Great Muta!

Jerry Lawler:
I told you JR! Great Muta has taught Matt Hardy a lesson here tonight!

Jim Ross:
This makes me sick, now Matt Hardy has to stay at home, suspended, without pay, until Vince McMahon deems that he has paid his dues for runing his weekly dream matches.

Jerry Lawler:
To give credit where credit is due, i think both of these men sure made their money's worth for Mr. McMahon. Case in point, you don't mess with The Great Muta!

Hey CMS with Rydog banned, does that mean his spot is open? I think Michaels1 should still have an opponent and not a bye. I know someone who would want that spot *cough*Weebo*cough*
