Two titles are defended, as AAA stars Pierroth and Cibernético challenge British Bulldog and Owen Hart for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley puts the WWF Intercontinental Championship up for grabs against Bart Gunn. Will we see new champions crowned?

For the first time since WrestleMania XII, last week came mere moments away from seeing Bret "Hitman" Hart and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels share the same ring. While we weren't able to see what either man had to say then, this week both men are invited to the ring to air their problems with one another! You can't help but feel sorry for the rock-and-a-hard-place Jim Ross has himself in for!

Last week saw the startling return of Kama, who immediately hitched himself to the ever-growing forces of Faarooq and his Nation of Domination! But why did Kama join them, and what might Ahmed Johnson do when he gets wind that The Nation are in the house?

With a new year for the World Wrestling Federation ahead, turbulent signs point ahead to the Royal Rumble in two weeks!

Tensions continue to mount, as Sycho Sid committed another atrocity last week, maiming the 62 year-old Jose Lothario - and even bringing his youthful son Pete Lothario into it! Shawn Michaels will surely have a lot to say about the Federation Champion's heinous actions, but with Sid also planned to be in the building, what will he have to say to "The Heartbreak Kid?"

The drama begins to mount ahead of the 1997 Royal Rumble match, where thirty Superstars will vy for the opportunity to go to WrestleMania and challenge for the WWF Championship! So perhaps it is unsurprising that two massive egos got into it backstage before the show even went on the air. WWF President Gorilla Monsoon made it official for the main event tonight: a first-time encounter between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "The Pearl River Powerhouse" Ahmed Johnson!

Kicking off the new year at a time where families have gotten together over the holiday period, there remains to be no love lost between Bret "Hitman" Hart and his younger brother, Owen Hart! Who will come out on top in the Hart Brothers' first battle in over a year?
