Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- According to a source, one of the reasons 'some women' have quit TNA Wrestling in the past year stems from the belief that Bruce Prichard, Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations, is not in favor of women's wrestling. This would also explain why the Knockouts division is not as given as much prominence as in the past, with only a few talents being highlighted.

Angelina Love and Velvet Sky reportedly left the promotion on their own accord and the roles of Mickie James, Rosita, Sarita and Winter were greatly curtailed after Prichard came into power last October.

It does seem as if the Knockouts have been featured a good bit less since last October when Prichard became the head guy. This was around the same time when Gail Kim made her return, and since then there has really only been two people featured in the Knockouts division at a time, whoever the champ is at the time and her challenger with the number one contender match here or there.

Wonder if perhaps he was one of the people to get in Vince's ear in WWE to put the divas division to where it is? Personally I think it's the divide of women and men thats killing the womens division. They seem to be there but why in the 90s they were managers valets girlfriends that sometimes fought with each other about things now they are a defined seperate division and usually have little to do with them men they are simply there to be there.

To be honest, WWE's Diva division is pretty shit. They botch so much, and it's so annoying.

Shame what's happened to the Knockouts though, I enjoyed what TNA had going a few years back, I would honestly mark out when ODB would come out and just wreck up the place. The division now just seems like a joke.

The KO division will be safe though, Dixie won't let it get relegated to WWE standards she's not that stupid.

I can believe this not sure if Prichard has a history of not like womens wrestling but maybe being quite old school he might be a bit stuck in his way.

Still think TNA have a strong KOs division, the likes of Kim, James, Tara, ODB, Tessmacher etc most companies would be proud of that, not TNA it seems.

It has been strange how once was once something that TNA was known for has been ignored. Seems to happen to every division, first X-Division then Tag Team division and now the Knockouts. TNA at times have had the best of all these divisions but for whatever reason then do their best to kill it off rather than building on that momentum. Hopefully the KO's division can be rebuilt and they can be a key part of the show again. They have the talent their TNA just need to use it right, first thing should be get right of the KO tag team titles and include more of the KOs in singles feuds on the show.

So Prichard can't get laid in TNA either?

Bruce Pritchard doesn't know how to run a lemonade stand and shouldn't have a job in any promotion. That guy is on the Terry Taylor level of suck up.

When they decided to use Awesome Kong as a stepping stone rather than the main focus of the division that is when I saw it going downhill. Oh wait that feud with Gail Kim ended up doing that even though it was great. No way you were going to top that and don't bring up the TBP because they were never on Awesome Kong's level.

Agreed only reason I back him in TNA is just because he's behind the mini Joe push but other than that, he annoys the hell out of me with his rainbow checkered shirts and his booking style.

I think it's because the fans aren't really behind the division, so he doesn't want to have to work for it to get better again.

The fans were behind it just fine until he started burying it. KOs still get some of the loudest reactions and, believe it or not, highest TV ratings.

The Knockouts success is the main reason why it has been gutted. Professional jealousy is a motherfucker.

It's either that or TNA really doesn't want to promote anything successful.
