I mean, they may as well hang the WWE or WHC belts above the ring for how they use the MITB briefcase. Any time the champ is layed out in the ring sure as shit whoever is holding that briefcase's music will hit.

Failing to win the title after cashing in the briefcase is risky as it could completely kill someone's push as fans will think "Oh, well he mustn't be up to winning the title then."

Only way that could work is if they have a proper match, kinda like what RVD did.

Why not? The match is full of mid-carders. Would having them fall a bit short of beating someone like Cena, Orton or Batista be so unbelievable? If anything beating a downed and beaten champion greatly kills their credibility. Just look at Punk's first MITB cash in... he was booked to look like a complete fluke while holding the title, Batista ripped him in half the next week on RAW.

That's what I'm saying. If they cashed in via a proper match one-on-one instead of taking advantage of a fallen champion and came up short it would be fine.

I'm all for giving Bret the win, but don't make it a title match. If anything just make it so that the title can only go to either Cena or Batista.

As I suspected for some time now... Here's yet ANOTHER example of there clearly being no fucking semblance of forward planning in WWE anymore... Biggest event of the year, Bret's first appearances for 12 years and they haven't even got a firm intentions for his storyline???? ...That's appalling!

No wonder the product on the whole is falling apart at the seams.

....Oh, and that title match idea sucks. Stinks of Judgment Day or something B-grade like that NOT 'The Granddaddy Of Them All'!

Yeah the whole clusterfuck of putting a singles title on the line in a tag match is ridiculous.

Ugh, they take a potential entertaining feud in just simply John Cena versus Batista rivaling (not duplicating) a Hogan/Warrior type match but they throw in Vince and Bret Hart. Thinking of it from Vince/Bret side it's the best way to go but for Batista/Cena and the WWE Title it's a bad way to go. I'd be fine with a Singles Match with Bret and Vince in separate corners but a Tag Match for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania is pure bullshit. We have one great title match every year at WM and the other brand just phones it in.

Cena/Batista alone would be a great feud but adding Vince and Bret Hart takes away from it imo. This is from an internet fan's opinion and of course it's the casual 'paying' customers' opinion that matters which is alright since I probably won't be ordering Wrestlemania this year.

Well, Cena/Batista came into the Vince Bret. With Batista on SD, how else would these guys interact to feud nicely that wouldn't hurt WWE's creative pens?

I would rather have had the same thing happen at EC but leave the Cena/Vince feud for a little longer down the road. Like Batista is just a soldier in McMahon's war on Cena.

...did you call a Warrior match entertaining?
Hey, they are enertaining when either you are 6 years old... Or on drugs... Some hardcore Warrior drugs.

I meant in the strictly visual match up, when casual little kid fans see Batista they say "Wow that dude's huge, there's no way Cena can beat him."

I know what we, the IWC, want to see but it's up to the casual fans telling management what they want.

Batista's over in terms of that massive monster who is unbeatable, yet another mountain for Cena to climb? So, that's how it's going to be for a long time.
