I understand the point of not naming wrestlers the GOAT, if you haven't personally seen their work.

For instance, I wouldn't name Lou Thesz, he was simply before my time.

But I also would not come to a new board and instantly think i have more wrestling knowledge then anyone else or talk down to people as such

Of course, but it doesn't really make sense to make assumptions about whether people have seen matches or not. If you don't know them, it's kind of hard to judge them.
