I doubt Foley is replacing Don West seeing as one of the reasons Foley is upset with WWE is because of being on the broadcast team.

I would call TNA a rival, however I don't think Foley will be good for TNA in the long run seeing TNA's history of signing big name stars. I mean lets look at it. I mean who have been the major focuses for the last 2 years? Angle, Sting & Christian. Former WWE and or Legendary guys. Booker is the first big name star to come to TNA not to squash the home grown talent. (Samoa Joe) thats definatly a good sign, but take a guy like AJ Styles, who used to be the main event star, then has gone from goofy lacky of Christian & Angle and now were suposed to take him seriously as a major main event Face again? I've had a hard time buying it cause I still see the guy who wouldn't leave his bedroom while he tried to decide between Angle & Christian. And if Foley comes in, and if they actually have him compete, you know its going to be a main event spot. And with everything centering around Jarrett & Sting, is AJ really going to be a main event player? Are we really going to believe that AJ has a shot at being the World Champion again? I don't.

Agreed, Foley always hated the idea of be on commentary. Which is one reason he didn't do it for long cause he didn't like it. Which is why he was gunna get in the middle of the Edge/Taker feud but i guess that isn't gunna happen now seeing how Foley is off Smackdown and Tazz is back on (side note: Grisham and Striker suck on ECW)

Even me being a huge Mick Foley fan. I don't care if he goes to TNA or not. I think his time is way past him. This might be spitting on the face of WWE and Vince McMahon. Which may not be the smartest move! But still I won't believe it until I see Foley's name and face on a TNA Program.

If this is true, I guess you can say good bye to Foley being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for a long time.

Mick Foley didn't sign again because of his Announcing Role, dyou think he's gonna sign with TNA to be an Announcer again? I see a Commissioner type role, maybe taking over Cornette.

Mick Foley recently attended a Cleveland Indians game to throw out the opening pitch, and Matt Loder of Letstalkwrestling.com reported that Foley has NOT signed with TNA as of yet. Foley reportedly said "well, I can say that is NOT true, though I may try out a PPV with them." Foley was attending the game through a WWE sanctioned autograph signing and apparently was unaware of internet rumors claiming he was leaving WWE in favor of TNA. Foley's WWE contract is set to expire this Monday, so legally he cannot sign a TNA contract until then even if he wanted to.

Wish it was true but its not. Don't forget though, he didnt say he wasnt going to sign with them he just said he hasn't. Mick's not even out of WWE officially so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

- Dave Meltzer is reporting that Mick Foley has signed a short term deal with TNA and will be starting with them asap. He should release a statement regarding the situation tomorrow.

Ok...

This is from Wrestlezone:

It has been known for a few days that Mick Foley, via the Gillepsie Agency, would announce plans for his pro wrestling future on Wednesday.

If a F4WOnline.com report is accurate, that announcement will be the signing of a short-term deal with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Though specific details remain unclear, the report says that Foley's term with TNA will begin in the immediate future.

The full announcement will release on Wednesday.

The Gillespsie agency just released the following:

September 3, 2008 - Statement from Mick Foley on leaving WWE, his future with TNA Wrestling and other opportunities.

"As of today, I am a free agent in the world of professional wrestling. I will always be grateful to WWE for affording me so many incredible opportunities over the past thirteen years, but feel the time is right to pursue other endeavors.

This move frees me up to participate in more film, television and voice roles, autograph sessions, speaking engagements, volunteer work, and will allow me the time to start work on a third novel, a fourth wrestling memoir and a new children’s story.

Over the next few weeks I will be working with my management team at Braverman/Bloom Co., Inc. in pursuing a couple of unique investment opportunities.

I can confirm I have had discussions with TNA Wrestling and have come to a short-term agreement. I am very excited about the specifics of this agreement and the potential it holds."

Mick Foley is available for booking through The Gillespie Agency. For
more information contact Elaine Gillespie (elaine@GillespieTalent.com) or Nola Armstrong (nola@GillespieTalent.com).
